What does 'a great life' mean exactly? I guess my most basic definition would be "a life formed by choices rather than necessity". My own choices would include travel around the world to crazy endurance races/challenges (I'm a slow, but enthusiastic, amateur triathlete) long mountain bike rides to secluded swimming holes, great dinner parties with family and friends, more than two days of snowboarding each winter, songs/novels/plays written and performed, businesses built and run successfully (ie. profitably!), houses built, children raised, grandchildren spoiled.
About my match ... I don't believe in an 'ideal mate', but it's a fair bet that 'The One' would be smart, sexy, independent, ambitious, entrepreneurial, adventurous, industrious, responsible, and above all, silly. I am looking for someone I can have fun with ... someone to dance with, to have adventures with, to laugh with, to work beside. That last is no metaphor ... I bought a motorcycle to ease my commute a year ago, and have become passionately addicted to riding. Few things in life are as sublime as swooping along a mountain road in the NorCal sunshine. Now the tricky part...how to describe myself...I'm in my 40s but young at heart and trying to hold off Father Time as long as possible. I enjoy good company, good food, travel, and sports. I'm somewhat conflicted on food because I love it so much but don't want to get overweight...lol (raise your hand if you love Paella!). I do enjoy wine and social drinking, but I once picked out Trader Joe's 2 Buck Chuck out of a blind taste test with other more expensive bottles so what do I know. I like to attempt cooking but the results aren't always great so maybe I could use a little help in that department. I try to stay fairly active through working out and playing tennis, as well as chasing around my 2 kids. Overall I'm pretty easygoing and generally willing to go with the flow especially if it's time to eat...lol. I like being around positive people who have a good sense of humor and can take a joke.
