I have skied Mammoth years ago and it is on my list to do again, but maybe snowboard this time. Las Vegas is always fun from hanging out at the pool to walking around late at night on the stripe and downtown vegas.
I like to keep attactive and I always have something going on during the day. I will site and watch some tv or movies, but definetely not the type of person to sit on the couch all weekend watching sports. I'd rather play then watch.
I am looking for someone to share quality time with. I do my own cooking, cleaning, laundry and take care of my family so I am not looking for help in any of these areas. My intention is to meet someone who I get and gets me. I think once you find a good one everything will come naturally. I did not say it would be easy but most everything should click.
So here is my deal. My life is defined by the people in it. I am raising my children 50% time and that is my top priority. They were adopted and came from a tragic past. My goal is to give them the tools to be successful and productive adults. I co-parent them with my ex and we are still friends. My family is very important to me. My mother is still my best friend and my older brother is my role model and inspiration. I have friends for many occasions and they are great. The common thread is that all of the above have the ability to laugh at anything and they handle adversity well . I see where some desire a "drama free zone" or "leave the baggage at the door" but I don't know how you can avoid that sometimes. It is how you handle the drama and baggage that counts. I desire someone that can roll with the punches and get up, dust themselves off and dive back into life with a big grin. Life would be unrealistic without a curveball here and there.
We all have our vision of the perfect partner. That is in a perfect world that seems elusive. Attraction is not a choice. Relationships involve more than that anyway. My professional life has been very diverse starting with working at my families small drugstore chain in central PA then on to the Jersey Shore and Key West working crazy hours for most of my 20's. I then moved to corporate restaurant management for a decade (Cheesecake Factory and California Pizza Kitchen). The last 10 years I have been in sales and sales management in the B2B sector.
Now some more fun stuff. Did I mention that I am a great kisser? I love deep conversation and also playful banter. I like to say I have a masters in sarcasm and a phd is smart ass. I am respectful and not mean but love to laugh at life. Is it bad I told my kids once all bands were family members?
So what do I do for me? Exercise I do my best to sweat 3-5 times a week and I keep fit. I am 6'1", 250 and a former college athlete, I am a big guy but proportionate. Sorry but I cannot ski (7th knee operation last October but still very active) but will gladly keep the fire going and have food and cocktails waiting at the lodge. I give a killer foot and neck rub too. I like to golf, play raquetball and tennis, watch my favorite teams (Steelers and Nittany Lions), laugh, meet up with friends for a good happy hour or a cookout and do dad stuff with my kids (13 & 16).
I have often compared dating to sales. It involves lots of rejection. You review the product, packaging and the marketing. You do a risk and benefit analysis. You discuss with your board members (friends). If possible you do a back ground check. Then you do a live meeting in a well lit place with an easy escape route.
Some people are just not a fit. I have actually found some dear freinds in my dating travels and that is perfectly fine with me. I have written some of my friends dating profiles too because I am in marketing and sales and that is really what this is. This should be fun and remember that you will not get anything in life unless you ask for it. I ask that you we be respectful, put on our big boy and girl pants and be honest if we are not interested.

Ok, I am a consumate fun and funny individual and even on odd days, a bit edgy, tongue in cheek, laugh at myself and the silly business of the world around me kind of guy who enjoys laughter, fun enjoyable moments with friends and family and overall a spur of the moment sponteneous type, who is simply seeking to find friends along the way in that hopeful expectation to find and share a future with a wonderful,sweet,fun and beautiful woman(inside and out).
Lets not confuse the first meeting with a first date: a first meeting is a chance to see if we both are mutually interested in one another to make plans to go on a more extended time together, such as dinner or a day out doing something fun and exciting.
