I've called Santa Barbara my home since 18years but I do travel often and I see it more like a pied-a-terre. I am an airline pilot doing mostly long haul to Asia, I start my trips from San Francisco or Los Angeles.
For hobby I started restoring an antique airplane from the Spanish air force, an open cockpit biplane that was used by the Germans as a trainer during WW2. It is a huge project but quite fascinating, I'm about one year from flying it now, can't wait.
To stay in shape, I run, hike and practice yoga. I used to surf a lot but haven't been in a couple years; it depends too much on the conditions and the crowd. I wouldn't mind getting back into it though.
