Ok, I think I would be described as irreverent, kinda funny, slightly classy, sometimes serious, decent, nice, healthy, thoughtful, and protective of those I love. I'm a great Dad and I have my kids 50% of the time. My son is 14 and my daughter is 12 and they have done a great job of raising me. Most of my friends are in their 30's and I tend to get along better with those who are younger or younger acting like me. I'm easy-going and fun and not weird in any way! I value honesty and integrity above all else. I'm not just saying it, I mean it and I live it. I don't have any vices except possibly a borderline chocolate vice. I have a good career, a good car, a good dog, and good kids. I love fishing, wake boarding, kayaking, the beach, boat rides, the Chargers and vacations! I run and go to the gym regularly and I don't drink a ton but enjoy having a couple of drinks if I'm out. I'm not a bar fly or a smooth talking pickup artist. I'm real. The girl that I would love to hang out with is sweet, kind, cute, honest and drama free with no mental issues.....Here's some additional info if you made it this far. I'm allergic to cats. I don't like Sushi. I'm totally down with Japanese food, but I like it cooked, so I'll order tempura and be totally happy. I'm totally inspired by Corona commercials and picture myself on the beach with Mrs. Right. That's the kind of lifestyle I would love to have! ...I don't know anything about wine and I won't drink it unless you charm me into it... I love Champagne though. I also would like to let you know that I have all my teeth and they look good. I'm not well traveled but I've been to Mexico over 50 times. I like nice things and I have a lot of toys but I'm not very materialistic. I work to play. I'm not snobby and I don't like snobs, but I was raised right by great parents so I know how to conduct myself. People that take themselves too seriously really bug me. I'm not EVER going to be a conservative, boring old guy. I am forever young! So if you are a kid trapped in an adult's body, or a beautiful mermaid stuck on land, maybe we should talk. Meet men and women from California, United States. Hi there, I hope I can get across with text exactly what I am looking for and why I am here..still.
I am passively on Match just in case this is the avenue where I find the man I want to grow old with. I love the comfortability that comes from being in a relationship that has withstood the test of time. Being with someone who knows me better than anyone else and vice versa. That does not happen without the key element of friendship so that is where I like to start. I do not want to run out to meet someone I have not even spoken to just so you can determine whether or not you are physically attracted to me. What I am looking for is much more elusive and deserves the time it takes to cultivate a real connection. In the real world my attraction to someone develops from observing how someone is, how they treat others, where their morals lie ect ect.
So...I am looking for a guy who has strong family values, cares about his health and appearance, is successful in his personal and professional life, has an easy going personality, is kind to fellow man and all living creatures. A guy who makes good decisions and his life reflects it. It's a comforting feeling to know that there is a capable man in the driver's seat" of our lives together. Also, I am one of those imperfect Christians and I want to be able to share faith and values with my partner. Faith does not matter if your are simply meeting for dinner but I am here for my life mate so trust me, it matters. The only time I ever feel envy is when I see a girl with her incredible stand up Christian guy. I like well read and well traveled men who enjoy the finer things in life but do not need them to have a good time. The down to Earth type. Honesty is really important to me too. Not just with me but in life in general. I do not like manipulators or liars and I am really put off by people who look out for themselves and who don't care about the feelings and circumstances of others. There is so much good to do on this Earth with minimal effort. A charitable guy is a rock star in my eyes and it shows a level of success in humanity that not everyone reaches here on Earth.
A little about me..I have been divorced for 7 years and have two kids 12 and 14. I have had plenty of time to date post divorce but have stepped back from dating for a long time because I have been busy with raising kids, career, home and a few other things that are close to my heart. My kids are getting older and I feel I can now nurture an adult relationship without taking from them. I am honest, genuine, kind and other then an occasional Martini I am not into altering my reality to enjoy life. I am really down to Earth and can be happy almost anywhere when the company is right. Lucky for me, I was raised right by parents who have a solid loving relationship. Therefore I do not get involved with or have any interest in dysfunctional relationships or people who bring drama. I love hiking with my dogs, eating out, events and shows. I like to be active and lounge around. I love to go on vacation but I am at a time in my life where getting away is not easy. My schedule revolves around the school bell and I run a non profit organization that keeps me close to home. Maybe once my kids graduate I can go see the world. There are so many places I want to go. Luckily I live on a lake where there are resort type things to do right in my backyard. Now I just need a super great guy to enjoy it with.
