I like to think that I work hard and play hard. I love to ride motorcycles snowboards and mountain bikes, but when it comes to spending time with someone special, sometimes just laying around can be the best thing ever. First off, I don't really like sharing personal things about myself with anyone with a computer and an internet connection. I don't have a Facebook account, I don't have a blog and I don't tweet. That said, I'm a little bit of a nerd and this whole Match.com thing won't work if I don't put something out there, so here goes.
Few random facts about me: I like beer and I sometimes brew my own when I'm motivated enough to do it. I ride an old motorcycle that's a little to small for me, but I like it and don't think I'll ever get rid of it. I have a son that is awesome. I like to ski and mountain bike, but I'm not that great at either (I've already accepted that there will always be a huge group of people here in Durango that are better than me at any outdoor sport I choose to try. A quote I heard once, "dance like no one is watching"; I try to apply that to everything I do in life). I got a D in French in 8th grade and now speak three languages, go figure. I still play video games. The first thing I bought for myself after I got divorced was a giant beanbag and a big screen TV. I haven't watched TV since high school, but occasionally check in when I'm in a hotel room; nope, still sucks. I watch a lot of movies. I feel like it's work to meet new people at say a party, but I always enjoy it in the end. I think Chris Farley was one of our generation's greatest comedians. It always kind of throws me when someone doesn't find humorous what I think is funny even though I know better. I'm a little self conscious about my grey hair; "no really, I'm not as old as I look!". I like traveling alone, but always wish I had someone to share the experience with.
Who I'm looking for: A female friend asked me this awhile back and I didn't know how to answer. I think I said something like, "Someone who's fun to be around and likes some of the same things I do." She said, "Well that's kind of broad." But that's basically the truth. Sure, I have to find someone I find attractive; given. Probably not someone that's super religious since I'm an atheist. I hate country music so a Garth Brooks fan is probably out. If she likes the Beastie Boys and owns an Xbox, bonus.
