I'm fascinated by this notion of programming and am always looking for new ways to overwrite old beliefs that no longer serve me. Most of my views about health, fitness and nutrition are a bit off the beaten path, but in most cases I just tend to be ahead of the trends, and I sorta live my life like a science project. I spend a lot of time investigating the spiritual and scientific evidence that seems to be coming out on an almost daily basis, and then meditating and thinking about how this new information can be integrated into my daily life. On most days, my biggest worry is what I'm going to eat next... or if the global economy is going to crumble before dinner time... This said, I laugh a lot and tend to make fun of just about everything. I mostly feel like I'm just waiting for something truly meaningful to come along that will give me an outlet for my untapped potential, so in the meantime I'm exploring options and am laying the groundwork, and it would be nice to have someone to share the journey.

Having multiple interests, I enjoy travel, fine food, art of many kinds, comedy and music of all sorts- especially rock, alternative rock, and blues. I attempt to play a guitar (my opportunities to be a famous rock star are probably limited).
Of course, I enjoy a lot of outdoor stuff: beaching, scuba diving, snow skiing, hiking, mountain climbing, rafting, kayaking, and golfing (I suck at the later). I also belong to an outdoor adventure club. Whenever possible, I love to spend the weekend in the mountains or on the lake. I also love to ride Harleys and love very fast sports cars. I have been known to get a little wild on occasion (so my mom says).
I am a little over educated (wanted to stay in school and not work), fiercely independent, self sufficient, and well cultured (I like to think) and well traveled. Yet, I enjoy the simple things in life most of all, like the laugh of a small child. I can also be romantic and charming should I desire.
Everyday I work out (or at least attempt to) and enjoy bodybuilding and studying martial arts- tae kwon do, judo, and aikido. I am in great shape for my age (so I have been told) and that is something that is very important to me (this goes back to my personal journey of longevity). But I do not perceive myself as any type of gym rat. I prefer to view myself as an intellectually mature person (I hope I do not deceive myself). So my goal and the way I prefer to perceive my self is to be in my mid 30s biologically but to be in my mid 40s by maturity/chronological/life experience. I hope this is true.
Career wise- I have a medical degree and work as a physician. My specialty being sports and rehabilitation medicine, I have a huge interest in longevity/anti-aging medicine. I like to have goals and am very persistent. I work hard but I enjoy playing hard too.
I am looking for someone to be my companion and to have fun with on our journeys. I am interested in meeting someone whom is intelligent, beautiful, healthful and fit. But more important, someone whom is comfortable in their own skin and loves them self, despite their imperfections (which we all have many).
I would prefer to meet someone whom has their own career, interests, hobbies, goals and pursues them vigorously, i.e. it is nice to have something to talk about.

I try to capture that space by eating right, staying fit (run, hike, ski, workout) and making sure I take some time for myself and the people around me. I'm definitely a fan of the outdoors, but far from hardcore about it, and can thrive in an edgy urban environment having lived in NYC and Chicago. I am intrigued by and revere the unconventional, and although professionally and personally I tend to spend quite a bit of time in the mainstream...vanilla, I am not. I tend to root for the underdog and very much relish the quirky and humorous aspects of the people and things in my life. I would have to say I gravitate to warm, expressive, funny people and very much appreciate thoughtful conversation. My friends tell me I am funny, witty, passionate and warm...Well, I've got them fooled...... When you cut through it all, I would say I'm looking for someone with whom I have an undeniable connection...you know it when it is there, I know, easier said.....She is definitely very real, intelligent, appreciates great conversation and has a nice balance of sophistication and earthiness. Narrow-mindedness is as big a turn off for her as it is for me, as is taking oneself too seriously. I can do the martini crowd, but tend to lean more towards live music, great food, dinner parties, local hangouts and exploring anything new. It would be great to meet someone who appreciated all these things, but you and I both know it always comes down to just how good the overall chemistry is...you can only tell after spending some time with that person...
