You likely ask why I am interested in an Asian woman. In the past few years, as a teacher and researcher in education (PhD, professor), I had the wonderful opportunity/privilege to learn so much about Asian people and cultures. For example, I worked for 5 weeks in China on a study with middle school teachers, focusing on the impact that deep cultural roots have on their philosophy and practice of teaching. In preparation for the study, during it, and ever since, I’ve been continually learning about Asian cultures including, for example, a self-learning course of Chinese to (slowly) improve my communication with people in their language. My appreciation of Asian cultures grew deeper, and is continually growing. I learned about and cherish the emphasis on social bonds and loyalty to community and family, on never-ending learning, and on harmony between inner and outer worlds (and beauty). These values, which I understand to underlie what an Asian woman is likely to look for, fit well with how I grew up and lived my own life.
Let me re-emphasize one and only. If our first email exchanges with me suggest that there is a serious chance for us to begin building true love relationship, I stop looking for others. I will hide my profile on Match.com as long as we continue building and having our relationship. I really am not looking for games - I want to use the time for building real, long-lasting relationship. If a woman seems to play the "hard-to-get" game - it immediately makes me not interested.
