Meet a man from Colorado, United States. WOW…fun and challenging question to answer. Without going through the checklist of items, I hope my following experiences will shed some insight as to who I am and what I am looking forward to in my next romance and life.
I am someone that enjoys trying and seeing new things. I am currently taking sommelier classes for fun to learn more about wines and its history. The fascination with this may explain a little about me…. I enjoy cooking and preparing a nice meal (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) and opening a bottle of wine to see if my idea of a good food/wine pairing are met. There are times its perfect, everything is in balance. There are times too that the food is great, the wine is great but they just don’t complement each other. So what to do? Introduce new ingredients to the food or open another bottle of wine to see if there is a better compliment. Either way you can have a great meal, with company and what’s wrong with that?
Another example is when I was in Mexico (generally traveling off the beaten path away from the crowds) and the local taxis decided to go on strike limiting my ability to get around and do the things I was initially planning. I walked the streets and found a “hole in the wall” restaurant that would probably be closed due to cleanliness in the states. It turned out the food was incredible and the chef took me in the back to not only teach me, but allowed me to cook with the local foods and spices. A great experience from something completely unexpected and unplanned.
To me this how I look at life. If things don’t work out, there are always options. Life is too short and there is no reason to be upset over the little things. I’m definitely a "glass is half full" person and always see the good in just about everything. I will always try something before saying no, which has presented some very surprising new favorites as a result of these new experiences (have you ever eaten avocados with sugar?? In India this is common, but, onions, peppers and tomatoes with avocados…in India they gave a very puzzling look and one of disgust.)
I enjoy the outdoors of Colorado regardless of the season. It’s hard to intentionally stay home when we have the mtns in our backyard. Yet there are times I enjoy staying at home and watching a movie or doing the necessary yard work. For liesure I enjoy pushing my photography, fly-fishing, skiing, hiking and golfing. Architecture fascinates me (Chicago is a great place to get your first taste of architecture), along with history in general. I've been to all but 4 of the 50 States (Alaska, N. Dakota, Oregon and Rhode Island) and various international countries via my work or planned vacations. There are several (states/countries) that I would go back to as there just wasn’t enough time to see and experience everything... of course.
What am I looking for:
Chemistry definitely. Someone that is honest and willing to stand for what they believe in regardless if we disagree. Its ok to “agree to disagree”, that lends itself to some good discussions and new knowledge. I'd like someone that is not so organized that any variation is upsetting and yet if they have a plan it would be nice…balance is good. Ideally, calling each other before the work day ends to meet somewhere new for dinner; packing the car Friday evening and heading up to the mtns; changing plans for the other person to attend plays, sporting events, concerts at Red Rocks if either should come across tickets at the last moment, or lastly, changing plans for the other person to spend an evening at home trying to figure out this darn food and wine pairing thing.

Date people from Denver, United States. What the heck, thought I'd give this a try again. I'm a guy. I don't take a lot of photos and I am not particularly photogenic, so a quick look at the photos I've scrounged up may not convey that I am a positive, active and fun person with a playful, often silly sense of humor. I like to spend time with my friends and family, nurturing those relationships and being the best friend, brother, son ,and uncle I can be. I am adventurous, love to travel , love to share vacation/travel stories (never know where that inspiration for the next adventure will come from!), and am always up for new experiences. My adventurous streak is probably what led me to the Air Force Academy, flying in the Air Force, and now for the air lines. I was raised in southern California, lived in Seattle and have lived in Colorado off and on for 16 years. (like the mafia, it keeps pulling me back!) I played football in college, but in no way am I stuck in a jockish time warp of former glory..(hey, it was the Air Force Academy..we actually had to go to class!) Having said that, I do enjoy watching or going to the occasional game (I still have season tickets to the Air Force games, and love the Nuggets..) but honestly I'd usually rather be active myself--hiking, biking, jogging, working out, or the occasional yoga class or basketball game. I enjoy conversations over coffee or a drink, reading, watching good movies and silly comedies and the occasional sporting event. As a conscious decision, I cancelled my cable years ago, so only watch a little TV on layovers, but could easily get hooked on your favorite program with a little exposure. (It's happened before--Dexter!) As far as assumptions go, I am proud of my military service, but I am also proud that I was, and still am a free-thinker(see liberal point-of-view below..)
As far as what I'm looking for, I sometimes feel like I've done it all when it come to dating and relationships. I know that's not the case, and the good part about waiting this long, (there has got to be a good part!) is that I am in a place in my life, my career, my curiosity about what's out there, and my emotional maturity, where I really am ready for a solid relationship. I have no problem with where I am at right now--dating, enjoying people I'm with and having a good time, but I would like to meet someone who is a really good fit for me. What would that look like? Who knows?.. I''ll probably be surprised! But I'm pretty sure she will be active, energetic, healthy-minded, fit, interested in the world around her, confident, happy, family-oriented( open to having children), and most importantly have a loving/ giving nature. (and please be someone who is fun and knows how to enjoy herself!) . I don't expect to know much about somebody based on a few paragraphs, photos, and email conversations, but if you are up for potentially something real, I'm always up for meeting someone new, sharing a few laughs, and seeing if there is a spark and where that might take us.
