3/12 update: found out I have kidney disease and need to be on dialysis. I have chosen to do the dialysis while I sleep at nite. This will happen within 6 mos. At least I'm being honest. Hoping this won't deter you in giving me a chance....

. . Love to travel ,read, spend some time with family but ready to be with you. Love new things to do, Want someone who is interested in life, healthy ( few minor things not with standing). Friends describe me as sincere, warm,gentle, caring, playful too.
i moved a lot as a child,young adult. Have lived in OH,MI,TX,LA, FL.HI, AND CA. guess that explains my wanderlust. I have lived in CA many years but still get the need to see new areas. Have visited WA, AK, ID,MT,OR, AZ,OK, a bit of Canada, a couple trips to France, one to England. I had a wonderful trip to Sweden and Finland and loved it--- you can see I have missed a lot of spots but find traveling alone not as much fun No one to share the joy. Hope you like to travel. Short trips, no fuss, life is fun.

I loved my job and profession(R.N.-retired) and still stay connected to medical info (classes, seminars, helping out in the community) Time for fun now though. I try to see each new day as one to learn, grow,love and explore life. I live close to the ocean so go for walks there frequently. Love Hawaii to just hang out and watch the whales, walk the beach, feel the warm breezes.

. LIFE IN THE OTHER LANE..... I am a retired, business executive and a widow of five years. I had 50 eventful years of marriage, to my best friend and business partner. At the time of his death, I thought my life would be forever changed. Last July, 2011, I was taken to the hospital, with an acute bacteria infection and ended with gangrene on my toes and left hand, .....Months later, I lost some toes and some parts of fingers, on my left hand. For some reason, my right hand was spared and I am so thankful for that.
I have been on match.com for 5 months now and have never got past the emailing stage, as I never knew how to approach my missing parts issue.........lol hence, my disclosure, now.
I do walk with-out a limp or any assistance and I still love to dance. My goal is working up to taking long walks, once again. I give my cooking skills a passing grade, but, my critics, give me a thumbs up.
I now live in Thousand Oaks, California, with my daughter and son-in-law, as my rural home in the Arkansas mountains, has never been terrain and weather-friendly. I have decided, I may have already lived a full life, but I'm not through with "living and seeking out new adventures". I have managed myself "up" to, a desirable weight, so...... new pics to be added soon.

. I'm lighthearted and laugh easily...some say easy to please. I'm comfortable in my skin and know pretty much who I am. Definitely not perfect. And I don't need or want you to tell me how perfect you are either. At this age I guess we all have a few flaws but I don't carry baggage. That's way too much trouble. I'm have an easy going personality and a comfortable home. Nothing is ever too fussy.
I love to play golf and would really like a friend who also plays. I like movies and eating out. Tacos and beer is almost as good as steak or lobster, so "good" is better than expensive or fancy. Because I'm active and don't look my age I tend to be attracted to younger men...so give me a chance, you youngins'.
