Date a woman from United States. ABOUT ME:
Amazing things turn up on my doorstep – home grown tomatoes, lemon pie, even furniture. That’s what happens when you’re nice to your neighbors. And even though I’m one of the youngest (yes, youngest!) in my community, I still feel a strong connection to those around me. I help friends with their computers, they take in my newspaper when I’m on vacation. After three years, I know so many people that a one-hour errand usually takes about 90 minutes. Don’t confuse living with retirees as being retired. I work as a mediator and travel all over the country, settling disputes. It’s a meaningful job, and the same skill set works wonders in relationships – I don’t argue, I listen. I’m an NPR junkie who wants to work for peace in the Middle East. And although my sense of geography is appalling – I had no idea that West Virginia was next to Pennsylvania – I’m usually willing to admit to my faults. I just can’t wait for that rare man who makes every moment of our relationship feel effortless.
ABOUT YOU:
You think itРІР‚в„ўs a noble goal to enter each new year laughing. YouРІР‚в„ўd make a game out of trying to name each othersРІР‚в„ў relatives. YouРІР‚в„ўre still interested in playing with all the exhibits at the Exploratorium. YouРІР‚в„ўd like to be able to order in Italian when weРІР‚в„ўre in Rome. You donРІР‚в„ўt have to folk dance or master jigsaw puzzles on the computer, but you admire it when I do. YouРІР‚в„ўll laugh when you realize that IРІР‚в„ўve been talking about an area code when you were talking about a ZIP code. YouРІР‚в„ўd go on a Sierra Club hike to see the wildflowers. YouРІР‚в„ўd get a kick out of going to the zoo with a two-year-old. You enjoy friendly competition when watching Jeopardy. You understand that collaborative problem solving can create intimacy. You know that a solution that works for one party but not the other doesnРІР‚в„ўt really work. You know that I sometimes talk like a mediator. YouРІР‚в„ўre the first one I want to share my successes with (!), the man I want to do things for on ValentineРІР‚в„ўs Day. And yes, IРІР‚в„ўll admit it - you make me want to dance around the house when nobodyРІР‚в„ўs watching.
Meet someone special from United States. Yes, I feel I am traveling the "second half of my journey" and I do not want to miss the opportunity to connect with that special someone. I consider myself as being sprightly and fit but not a woman doddering into old age -- this, I call gracious acceptance. I am trying to take life as it comes and to cut down a lot of my expectations because I do not want to be dissapointed.
The 2000's found me doing quite a bit of hiking/sightseeing in such magnificent places as Tuscany, Provence, Machu Picchu and Mexico
Thanksgiving, 2011, found me in Hawaii where we spent 12 magnificent days on the island of Kona (Four Seasons) where the complex was most enjoyable. People were waiting on us hand and foot -- such pampering I have never experienced before. One could get use to it.
Come July, 2012, I will be spending one week on Long Island but will venture into NYC and explore many of the beautiful features that area has to offer.
August, 2012, I will be traveling to Ireland but will be on a tour. In 1990, I was in Ireland but only on the west coast but this time will have the opportunity to view/explore what the east coast has to offer. Yes, I will once again kiss the Blarney Stone and have my pic take to prove that I did it -- AGAIN!!
INTERESTING -- I was on this site about five years ago and I see the SAME PROFILES AND PICTURES that I saw way back then. What about updating? As for me, I do my best to keep my pics relatively current.
Date a soulmate from United States. Maybe I should be happy with what I had, but also maybe there is someone that would like to explore the future with me. I'm a great traveler, cook, and have a beautiful family and wonderful friends. I love to be challenged and learn every day.
Meet a woman from Walnut Creek, United States. I am intelligent, attractive, honest, adventurous, mostly non-judgmental, fun to be around, witty, dependable, responsible for myself. I enjoy life as fully as I can and feel it contains limitless possibilities. I am financially secure. My ideal match will have all those qualities.
I have four grown children and eight grandchildren on my side, three bonus (also grown kids) and seven grandchildren on my husband's side. These are very important people in my life. I'm very family-oriented and have some surrogate children, also grown, with whom I stay in contact. An independent nature that also grants a lot of space to another will be very appealing.
Jealousy and envy are not part of my personal description and would be an unwelcome addition to my life. Anyone reaching the age of maturity will have his/her own views of the world that have evolved over decades of living. If those views are different from mine, we'll have great discussions. If they are similar, we'll have great discussions.
The packaging is far less important than its contents, but my match must have excellent personal hygiene, good table manners and decent teeth to attract me. Correct grammar is a must - I was an editor and that lives on.
Do you enjoy being spontaneous? Call at 5 p.m. to see if an 8 p.m. show in the city will work? Be disappointed, but not be annoyed, if the answer is no? All right!!
Date someone special from Walnut Creek, United States. I retired and moved to Northern California a year ago. I am very fortunate to have a loving relationship with my family and life long friends around the world. I am a fairly high energy person, but also like quiet times.Recently I joined Rotary and am enjoying the camaraderie and the opportunity to give back. My passport is current. There is a list of places I'd like to explore or would enjoy working through your list. There was much satisfaction from my career, but am now ready for new adventures. I miss the physical closeness and sharing of a companion. I would hope that you are kind. I can be a little impulsive and am ever curious. I would love to communicate with a like minded gentleman.

Meet someone special from California, United States. I am, first and foremost a mother of 4, a grandmother of 7. Nothing is more important to me than my family. After a health scare several years ago I decided that if I wanted to dance at all my grandchildrenРІР‚в„ўs weddings I should start taking better care of myself. I started studying as many different kinds, opinions and theories on health and nutrition as I could find, and changed the way I did many things; diet, exercise, you name it, I turned it on itРІР‚в„ўs head. My interests in the health industry grew, so while most of my friends started to retire, I took an internship, became a therapist and now run my own business trying to help others improve their lives and their health. Of all the many, many professions I have had over the years, this is the one I feel is my true calling.
My perfect match is someone who can first and foremost keep up with me. Most people think I’m 10 years younger than I am, and I feel much younger than that! So if your idea of a perfect mach is shuffling along complaining of your aches and pains or sitting in the house all day, I’m not the person for you. I enjoy dancing, the movies, eating out, taking long walks, running after my grandchildren and meeting the new, diverse and interesting people I encounter every day with my work. I’m not a religious person but I very much enjoy learning and listening about all different kinds of religions, although I’m not looking to be “converted”. I believe everyone should be allowed to live his or her life to the fullest, as they see fit. At my age and the diverse life I’ve lived, I’ve learned that there is no one “right way” and it takes all kinds to make the world the interesting place it is. If you bring a positive outlook, a never say never attitude, good humor and little drama we just might hit it off.
