I graduated from Cornell University's Dyson School in May 2010. I worked at American Express for a year, left to go work on a personal mobile app I created called Vidappe, and sold it a year later to a company called GreenStack in San Francisco. I was brought onto their team as Head of Sales and am very glad that my first entrepreneurial attempt went somewhere.
I love movies (I wear a bracelet that says "What would JC do," JC standing for James Cameron and not Jesus Christ), asking people questions (Charlie Rose better watch his back), and my ultimate goal in life is to write, produce, and direct feature length movies that will entertain and inspire people. That, or become CEO of Apple .... I'm willing to settle.

So I can snap up a story about the three-alarm fire that occurred down the street, a new medical break-through, or give you the low-down and way too many details about city salaries in the Peninsula. But write about myself? Here goes nothing...
I grew up in a very loud, large Italian family. Not in a Jersey-Shore kind of way though. My mom has been known to wave her wooden spoon while cooking, I've picked up on the habit, and thankfully her wonderful cooking skills! Meatballs, lasagna, tiramisu..it's making me hungry just thinking about it. My heritage is important to me and I love Italy!
I like to think I have a positive outlook on life, regardless of the sometimes negative stuff that I write about at work. (My editor's favorite saying "If it bleeds, it leads!). I'm not afraid to speak my mind, probably get that from my family. And I think I can be patient sometimes..but sometimes you just have to go for what you want and jump right into the deep end!
Other facts about me: I hate scary movies, and spiders. Especially scary movies that involve spiders! What a nightmare.
I can have a lot of energy so you better be able to keep up! My roommates have said that after I wake up, give me five minutes to get past my groggy-ness, I have the energy of a bouncing kangaroo (that was the only analogy I could think of. Perhaps a rabbit has more energy? Monkey?)
Speaking of running, I used to hate running. Part of me still does. For some reason, I wanted to set myself a goal and took the challenge to run a half marathon. Now, I'm addicted! I'm currently training for another two this year alone with some 5Ks and 10Ks thrown in the mix here and there. I'm not a exercise nut per say, but the feeling of accomplishment you get when you complete something like that is pretty endorphine-y and amazing!
I was one of those people in high school (and in college) that was involved in everything--be it student government, community-service clubs, school newspaper, organizing film nights...etc etc. I love to keep busy and involve myself in different things and projects. I'm always on the lookout for more!
