Date a guy from Goleta, United States. I love to try and explore new things. Recently I've been interested in bouldering in the mountains, backpacking in the wilderness (High Sierra Trail in a few weeks!), riding/fixing my motorcycle (let's be honest, it's mostly fixing), attending music festival (e.g. Lightning in a Bottle), and coming soon: surfing and photography. Since moving to CA, I've learned how to decently juggle a soccer ball (no small task for me), learn the ukulele and bass guitar, seen the milky way galaxy, sailed in the ocean, and skied in my statue of David boxers down Mammoth Mountain.
Currently (and for the next 2-3 years), I'm pursuing my PhD in Engineering at UCSB. As of now, my goal is to become tenured faculty at a major university, and of course, end up at Santa Barbara in the latter years of my life. During work breaks, I enjoy reading about politics, watching TedTalks, and tinkering in the lab.
I like the sound of ceiling fans at night, going to both big (Muse) and small (@ Soho) concerts, my "job" as a graduate student, people who make me laugh, and interesting cheeses.
I want to meet new people, and am looking for someone who wants to share in my experiences. However, I want to meet someone who can help to expand my world view. I am honest and don't hold back, hard working and efficient, and always smiling.
Meet men and women from Goleta, United States. Looking to meet some new people as I am too busy with work to have an active and regular social life right now. Not quite sure on all of this but have heard good hits and am open to giving it a shot. Former collegiate rugby player and coach for D1 NCAA football program after injury ended playing career. Moved out here in March for a new job opportunity and really enjoy it so far, but would like to meet someone to enjoy it with. Not looking for anything crazy now but someone to hang out with in free time would be great and can develope from there.

Date someone special from Goleta, United States. I'm 24, and was born and raised in northern California. I went to college in Santa Barbara, then worked in LA for a year (which I never thought I would do but didn't hate it) and now back to SB for grad school. I feel extremely blessed for everything God has given me throughout my life, and I strive to live every day to love others like I have been loved. I am laid back, but passionate, and love sports, especially baseball. I seem serious, but love to laugh. I consider adversity to be my biggest gift, and feel it has shaped me into the man I am. I am very low-maintenance/minimalist. Above all, I really would love to meet someone who loves God.
Meet single girl from Goleta, United States. Hi my name is Amy, I’m twenty-four years old and I’ve lived in Santa Barbara my entire life. I’m generally a very happy person, a little shy when I first meet new people but after I open up a little I have a very bubbly personality. I’m independent, I can't seem to take life seriously (but really, why should I?), my crazy hair matches my personality (this is a new thing and I will keep it colorful as long as I can get away with it), I plan to get as many tattoos as I feel is necessary (My body, my rules), I’m easy going but I can be a little stubborn at times (or so my friends tell me) and I have a quirky and unique sense of humor. I probably find some of the most random things hilarious and things that are actually funny…well not so funny. I ramble when I’m nervous; I have a tendency to talk to myself (hey I live alone, I need some way to entertain myself) and a weakness for the Avengers (super heroes in general) and Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough ice cream (along with action movies and romantic comedies…I am a young woman after all, hot men and cliche happy endings make my world go round). I love my family and will do anything for them and spending time with them is one of my favorite things to do (and you haven’t met a funnier bunch until you’ve heard the dinner conversations at my family’s house). I’m a fiercely loyal friend and I love them with all my heart (and they’re certifiable, which is why I think we get along so well…).
Sometimes I feel like I work too much and don’t get out enough (true), but then I realize I’m not a party girl, I hate the bar scene (also true, although I love to dance) and I kinda like staying in a watching a movie (annnd we’re back to the hot super heroes and cliche happy endings). I love Disneyland, singing (badly) at the top of my lungs in my car (with the windows up of course), reading books and writing stories, hopefully one day I’ll be a published author to go with the love I have for writing (first I need to build up the nerve to actually let people read my stuff…haha).
As far as what I’m looking for in a guy, I’m not sure. There has to be some sort of attraction obviously. Someone who can keep up with my sarcasm and verbal whiplash from my 180 degree turns in conversations, someone laid back and honest. A brain would be nice…but someone that’s down for mindless days at the beach and movies and cuddling on the couch and what not. Maybe a guy that listens and can hold a conversation that doesn’t revolve around video games, I mean don’t get me wrong I like blowing up things in a good video game every once in a while but other things are fun to talk about too. I don’t mind being outdoors when I have nothing to do, but I usually stay in because all my friends and I have conflicting schedules. If I want to go out wandering around Santa Barbara I’d rather have someone to talk to while I do it. It would be boring to watch the sunset by myself honestly.
…I’m pretty sure I’ve started to ramble so I’m going to stop talking before I say something offensive or stupid (if I haven't already). If you made it past the first paragraph without passing out from boredom, then email me and tell me a little about yourself!
