Hi there! I'm a southern gal at heart, born and raised in Texas but at 17, I joined the Navy and along the way, I ended up with a detour in California. I hope one day to move back to Texas as I miss it more than I can say! I tried to get rid of my accent but on occasion, it's still there. I have two daughters (19 and 25) but only my 16 year-old son still lives with me. My oldest daughter is in VA and my youngest daughter is in college in NY.
I love playing pool, watching football, bowling, singing karaoke, going to music concerts watching plays and movies! My favorite music is Country and Western but I also like RB, Jazz and Gospel.
I'm a Navy Veteran and a writer who lived in Iceland, Italy, Portugal, England and Japan. I've visited other countries but there are more places I'd love to see some day and it would be nice to share those moments with someone special.
About The One I’m Looking For…
I'm looking for a man who knows how to be a gentleman and treat a woman like a lady. My ideal man would be a good conversationalist, wear a shirt and tie on occasion, be neat and clean in appearance with good hygiene. I would ask that he respect women, be family-oriented, be a non-smoker, enjoy music, movies and be affectionate both in public and in private. I don't think that's asking for too much, is it? (smile)
If you have a kind, loving heart and a great sense of humor, we'll get along great! Life is short so if I could find someone who will always try to make me smile but also knows when to take things seriously if the occasion calls for it, that would be awesome!
I adore a nice moustache and a well-groomed beard. I find them particularly attractive. If my guy wears cologne, in my opinion, that is always very sexy.
Trust and commitment are important to me so I'm looking for someone who is very honest and loyal. Lord knows I'm no angel and if I were, my halo would have an awful lot of dents in it! lol But, I do believe in God and I hope you feel the same way. It's not the sum of my life but if I were in a serious relationship or married, I would want my man to share my faith and go to church with me. I don't judge others but it's how I was raised and it's important to me.
I'd also like to add that it took me hours (thanks match.com!) to fill out this wonderful profile (smile). The last time I filled out this much stuff, I ended up in the Navy! lol

And one final point... I live in CA and currently have my son with me (he'll be a junior in high school this year) so I would not be able to relocate for a couple of years. I've met many men who say they are willing (and able) to do so but if you can't, then we would not be a match. Timing is everything so I'm being honest up front!
