Date people from Pleasanton, United States. Me? Divorced dad, with primary custody of a teenage son. During the week, I am pretty busy taking care of my self, career and son. Lately, it feels like it’s mostly the boy taking all my energy! But on the weekends, I am usually available – for dinner, weekend getaways, or even just hanging out.
Music is so important to me – for motivation, relaxation or just helping me get my groove on. I have seen McCoy Tyner at the Greenwich Village Jazz Festival, the Flaming Lips at the Hollywood Bowl – and everything in-between. Music is the fuel that feeds my life - and the glue that holds me together. Hopefully it is for you too.
I love the Bay Area for the ease at which you can always get out in the great outdoors. Hiking Stinson Beach to the North, Big Sur to the south – even just riding around East Bay is great. I have decent mountain biking, road riding, all from my front door. Although I no longer have a gym membership, between yoga and bicycling I stay pretty active. Haven’t been surfing since the last time I was in San Diego (lived there 12 years) – but I love playing in the water. I may have to get a warmer wet suit, grab my boards, and get down to Santa Cruz soon – with a new friend perhaps?
Art is also a passion and distraction for me. I have painted sculpted in the past, but today my creativity gets fed into other avenues. That said, am definitely up for taking a continuing ed class now and then. I took my son to a welding class at the Crucible in Oakland, and made myself some large metal house numbers (yeah, the engineer side of me). They even light up!
So for starters, I guess I am looking for someone to share my precious weekend free time. Perhaps we could plan a day adventure - or maybe into the city for theatre and dinner? You tell me what floats your boat – and I will try to help make it happen.
And long term? I am certainly open for a commitment again - just need to take it slow for now. Hope that works for you…
Meet men and women from Pleasanton, United States. A vivacious, independent, entrepreneurial, passionate and enthusiastic red-head, originally from the UK, with a passion for family (two beautiful daughters), playing piano, singing, Billy Joel, concerts, summer picnics, dueling piano bars, community theatre, Motown, live theatre, San Francisco (at least once a month), animals (dog-lover), dancing, helping friends in need, singing to our Veterans at the VA hospital, Scrabble, travel. I formed an all female a capella singing group two years ago and we perform to raise money for cancer research. I am a Board Member of our local Relay for Life chapter, to support the American Cancer Society. I am a romantic at heart and appreciate a man who has good manners - I like to believe the age of chivalry is still alive and kicking. I LOVE creme brulee and I'll travel for a good one - the Champs Elysee is not too far either! Please only make contact with me if you are serious ... I have no time for "games" - thank you! I am not one to sit in front of the television during my spare time - life is too short and there is way too much to explore. What makes me unique - a veritable English accent that won't go away and the fairest of skin! In the words of Mr. Buble, I know you are out there .... "I just haven't met you yet"!
Date a soulmate from Pleasanton, United States. I am a sassy, sweet, sincere person who is very positive and loves life.
My three boys are the most important part of my life. I was a teacher before being a mom, and now that my boys are getting older, I am in the process of getting back into teaching. I am very close to my family and have many friends who I enjoy spending time with.
I am physically active and work out almost every day. I also enjoy cooking, reading, watching movies, hiking, wine tasting, skiing and love being on or near water. I grew up in Tahoe and am an outdoor girl, but also love the city and spa/shopping!
I am a versatile person who can feel as at home at a fancy dinner as a rock concert. And I have enjoyed both many times!
My date would be open to sharing many different experiences too. I want someone who shares my positive view of life. I want someone who I can do special things for, and who will do them back.
Affectionate, funny, caring, sweet, fun, smart, a little wild but also a little serious sometimes....that's me.
Meet someone special from Pleasanton, United States. I view the world through rose colored glasses. I love to throw parties but have been known to burn the roast. I am the first to laugh at my bad jokes, infinitely curious and could happily live on cupcakes. I still handwrite thank you notes and secretly think I am Babe Paley reincarnated. I own a Nook but will never give up my library card. I have a bucket list a mile long and dreams a dime a dozen. I am smart but not a show-off, educated but always a student, open to advice but trust my own intuition. I believe that chivalry isn't dead, happiness is the new black and I will always share my last piece of gum.
