Date single man from California, United States. I am an easy going person. I love a good sense of humor and truly believe laughter is the fountain of youth. I can have fun doing almost anything and I'm very down to Earth. I enjoy many outdoor activities, tennis and golf being my favorite. Other things I enjoy are hiking, biking and skiing in the mountains. I always look forward to a fun adventerous trip and love to travel. Its also great to be out in the middle of nowhere so i can see the stars. I enjoy all types of movies but lean towards lighthearted. I'm not very good at cooking but find myself getting better. I am the father of a wonderful 10 year old daughter who totally keeps me on my toes. I love being with her and i'm involved in all aspects of her life. I was married for 13 years to a great woman but am currently separated and looking for a special connection.
I am ultimately looking to meet someone who has a general passion for living, and is always willing to try something new. Someone who can laugh, and "doesn't sweat the small stuff". Someone who knows it is okay to disagree and that having different opinions makes for great conversations. Someone who realizes that the smallest gesture can have the greatest impact. Someone who can be social and is comfortable with themselves in new situations. As important as all of the above..it just needs to feel right. An easy friendship combined with physical chemistry.
Meet men and women from California, United States. This was a very difficult process for me...so I asked my best friend the other day how she would describe me and she continued like this..."She is an incredible mother of three beautiful children, a most amazing friend and confident, she loves life and is passionate about everything she takes on."
Date a woman from California, United States. Who I am:
My friends and family would describe me as loyal, well-balanced, and compassionate. I make friends for life, and I greatly value my friendships. I think of myself as trustworthy, sensitive, and down-to-earth. I strive to have a positive outlook about life. I love to laugh.
My daughter:
Adopting my daughter from China was the best decision I ever made. My daughter teaches me to approach life with wide-eyed wonder. On a rainy Monday morning what could be more fun than stomping in puddles with shiny new rain boots and counting worms on the way to the school bus stop? My daughter is a happy child, and she often makes me smile. I am grateful for her being. We're lucky to live in the Bay Area, surrounded by supportive family and friends. On week-ends we like to stroll through the farmer's market, explore local parks, savor ice cream at the neighborhood ice cream shop, and picnic at the zoo.
Education and work:
My twenties were focused on college, graduate school and a clerkship for a federal judge. At Stanford, I majored in economics with honors in humanities. I graduated from law school at University of California Berkeley Law (Boalt Hall). Following law school, I had an amazing experience clerking for a federal judge in Miami, Florida. My thirties were focused on full time law firm associate life, mostly in large San Francisco based law firms. It was interesting to work on a variety of cases and explore different areas of law practice. My forties have been focused on adopting a child and balancing my professional interests and goals with family life.
Leisure time and interests:
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, sharing thoughts about our lives, families, careers, social issues, and current events. I love being outdoors --- hiking on Bay Area trails, walking on Stinson Beach, and swimming wherever it's warm. I love classical music and enjoy going to concerts. I have been fortunate to have had opportunities to travel to Europe, Asia and Latin America. My parents are Austrian, and I have really enjoyed visiting our relatives in Austria--- going to cultural events in Vienna, swimming in lakes near Salzburg and hiking in the Tyrolean Alps. I have traveled to China twice, and I would like to learn more about Chinese culture. Even though my current day-to-day life does not allow for international travel adventures, those experiences shaped me and broadened my horizons. I hope to have future opportunities for travel and interesting adventures.
What I'm seeking:
I am looking for someone who is tall, educated, and communicative. His friends would describe him as stable, trustworthy, and kind. I admire men who are self-confident, easy-going, thoughtful, and open-minded. I enjoy being with men who have a good sense of humor. I would like to be with a man who has a strong moral compass and who shares my outlook on life. I am looking for someone who would enjoy participating in a family-centered life style. I would like to meet a man who is relatively close to my age (mid-40's to mid-50's) and who is comfortable with himself. I am seeking a long-term committed relationship with the potential for marriage.
