I love to paint, mostly in oils and acrylics, but at work I primarily paint digitally. I love what I do and Im thankful for it. Once upon a time I did take up mechanical engineering but changed my mind after putting in a couple years at Calpoly Pomona. I believe that if you have a chance to do what you really want in life, then go for it!
I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by some really amazing people. My faith, family and friends are a really big part of my life. They are the source of my passion and they've pushed me to work hard to become a better person. I'm very laid back and down to earth, but once you get to know me I tend to talk a lot. Moreover, every chance I get I try to explore and discover new things and now that I've recently graduated Im really stoked to be planning a few trips abroad. I can't wait to really see the world. I tend to gravitate more towards nature than night clubs and bars although if the company is good then Im all for it! Im also trying to get in the habit of taking as much pictures of this beautiful world as I can and then use them as a springboard for my work.
Anyway, I don't really know what to expect from this online dating thing but lately Its been hard to meet new people because of work so my friend suggested trying this. Even though Im busy I do make time for those who I care about. I'm looking of my best friend, a girl who will challenge me and help me grow as a person, for her. Date a boy from North Hollywood, United States. I'm a former Army infantryman turned full time student.I currently attend Devry as well as bar-tending school at night. Shortly after I'm done with bar-tending school, I also plan on being certified in electrical theory to work for DWP. I spent 5 years in the Army, tho I am proud of what I did, I should've picked a different job and signed up for a lesser term. I was wounded last August which resulted in my having to receive a lower spinal fusion. This is why my headline is what is it; because I believe any person is capable of anything if they want it bad enough. I do what I can to not let my injury slow me down. It only aches when I do dumb things that normally don't cause pain, such as cooking, folding clothes, getting in and out of my truck, and swimming. My injury is not noticeable, people only find out when I tell them about it. I am very ambitious and confident in my abilities.
I believe in being honest and straight forward. Life's too short to pretend to be someone else, or a highlight reel version of yourself for others to see. If I choose to be in a relationship, it's because that's where I want to be. If I say I'm going to be somewhere or do something, I do it. Actions speak volumes that words never will. My week Monday thru Friday consists of both schools, boxing, cooking, and working out,with a few extra activities here and there. So, that's a lil bit about myself and my thought process; hope you didn't get too scared or weirded out. Oh, and yes, you're eyes didn't lie, I am divorced. How did this happen? Came out here in Aug. '07, it was my dream since high school to move to L.A. after college. These last 4ish years have been more interesting than the great plains, and offered wildly rewarding life experiences. Glad to call it home, and to have amazing friends here. I appreciate seasonal change and rain; that's something that I really miss since moving out to L.A. I really love the outdoors, and doing active things with others who like to get down in dirty in mother nature. I also love just getting a movie and a meal and chilling on the big comfy couch. If I'm spending quality time with someone who I connect with, that's way better than scaling mountains or Hiking the Appalachian trail.
Playing the guitar has become my favorite "sitting around" hobby. I started playing in High School and stopped for awhile in Undergrad and decided that I really wanted to get back on it. I used to teach Guitar to children in Encino, and that was wicked fun!
I guess I'm very laid back and just working on the next steps for my life story. It would be awesome to spend this time with someone who I love too.
I think this is the lame part; explaining myself on paper/screen. I think my personality does a much better job than any writing skills would.
In terms of what is attractive to me, I look for someone who is excited about the things that I'm excited about, but has their own unique interests and goals too. I stay very busy, and I want to be with someone who can keep up and even challenge me. I like it when you can see how someone is serious about where they're going, and driven to get to that place they want to be, and excited about new goals they might find along the way.
