I'm a young filmmaker, trying to make it in LA. I am from Arizona originally, went to college in upstate NY, and then moved here four years ago to go to graduate school for film. I absolutely love working in this industry, but it does demand a lot. It demands a lot of your time, focus, and energy. I am a driven person and am dedicated to my career. But, I am ready to broaden my circle and try to meet some new people.
I really like exploring new places in LA. One of the cool things about meeting someone new is that they can expose you to knew places, restaurants, etc. I feel like even though I know LA fairly well, there is still a ton more to explore. I love things like museums and theater, but I also love to be outside and active. I like hiking, swimming, yoga, and badminton. That last one is sometimes strange to people, but they actually had varsity badminton at my high school. I still love to play when I get the chance. I am also a really big college football fan. I grew up watching my brother play in college and have been hooked ever since.
Anyway, I am not necessarily just looking for someone who likes what I like and all that. I want someone thoughtful, who can challenge me. Intellectual curiosity is definitely important to me. I think my friends would say that I am a pretty sarcastic person, so I like to be around people who can hold their own. The dream is to walk and talk, like in an Aaron Sorkin-esque show.
