I realize that I live in a bedroom community. it's where I raised my family, whom have graduated from college and moved on. Communication is so important to work on. To paraphrase the cancer patient in The Doctors (William Hurt) -- Aging has freed me .... I don't have time to be other than honest and direct ... but it takes effort -- I try not to play games.
I love to dance -- but I need a partner; I like to play bridge -- my family has always played a lot of games; I like to shoot pool but it's a bit rusty right now from dis-use -- easily remedied; I'm not a sports fan by myself but enjoy with someone else -- I'm a member of the OC Duck Club (Univ of Oregon Ducks that is) but since I've moved from Westminster to Diamond Bar I don't get to many gatherings; my younger grandson has a great soccer team -- I don't like to miss his games -- they're exciting.
I enjoy movies -- especially the 'older' ones -- I don't need all the blood and gore so popular right now; also like plays, concerts, museums, travel. I watch very little TV -- (Isn't that why 'God created' headphones?).
I enjoy more things than I can get around to doing but I also enjoy trying new things. Some things I need to avoid because of a vulnerable back are: bowling, golf, running -- things that jar or compact my spine. Exercise is very important to me -- stretching keeps me flexible and walking or my elliptical machine keep me fit.

My family is important to me. I have six grandchildren -- just one girl in the group. We are a close family and we have extended family get-togethers a couple times a year. I have two remaining siblings that I am also close to.
