I just moved to California a few months ago and I am a undergraduate studying Psychology. I am a big animal lover and am focusing my career around dogs in particular, so there is a good chance that I will have a few in the future. I love the country and mountains which is why I love California so much. Moving out here was a big step for me because all of my family live on the East coast and I started out with only a few friends in Cali. But it was totally worth it because I've been able to explore more of what this world has to offer as well as discover who I am as a person and who I wish to become.
A bit about myself: My friends would describe me as kind, loyal, funny and determined, but I also have other qualities such as patience and a sense for adventure. I love to be around my friends and family and I enjoy making others smile. I love being outside. Although I'm not a extreme sports fanatic I do enjoy hiking, swimming, fishing, scuba diving, etc. I really want to learn how to snowboard or ski. But as much as I like being outdoors I have no problems with spending time inside. Sometimes there is nothing better then spending an afternoon catching up on some new movies or curling up by the fire and reading a good book. I'm also pretty fond of my Xbox 360 and can hold my own in a game of Call of Duty.
One value that I pride above all others is being true to yourself. I am very comfortable with who I am as a person and don't feel the need to hide myself away behind makeup or fashion styles. I feel that the strongest kind of people are those who refuse to hide themselves away and who can just be themselves. It's a quality I hope to find in a guy.
Other traits I am looking for in a guy is someone who is strong-willed but also laid back. I would like a guy who is kind-hearted, honest and smart. Being loyal and trustworthy is also a must. Ideally this person likes to get out and see the world but also doesn't mind a nice relaxing day at home with friends and family or just by ourselves. I would like to find someone who would make me laugh and who has an open-minded way of thinking. I'm not interested in someone who does drugs, so if you do no offense but no thanks.
