I'm a transplant out of the Midwest and I've lived in Bakersfield for about a year. I like to spend my weekends exploring California and seeing new things. It doesn't take long knowing me to realize I am a spunky, positive person. My idea of a perfect Saturday is waking up, going for a long challenging hike, then cooling off with a good beer and dinner. There are still so many places and things I need to see out here- I've got a long to-do list.
My family is extremely important to me. Even though I live a couple thousand miles away from them, I still am very close with them and try to see them as often as I can. A potential match should also be close with his family, but I am looking for someone who knows how to balance his family with his relationship.
I have so many interests and activities, it's hard to list them all here. Here are my top three:
1. Music. I grew up participating in the arts. I studied music, danced ballet, and participated in theatre throughout college ( I graduated with a degree in engineering though) and so music moves me. I associate different types of music with different moods and I don't discriminate-sometimes you just have to let yourself go crazy!
2. Physical activity. I love to be on the move. My favorite vacations are the type that you're constantly exploring. I played basketball and soccer through college and post-school have taken up running as a way to relieve stress. I am currently training for my first triathlon and it's been rewarding to challenge myself in this way!
3. Entertaining. I love to have a reason to cook or to throw a shindig. Unfortunately, my schedule doesn't allow for much of that, but there is something so fulfilling about looking around a table and seeing all of your favorite people there-along with a couple of bottles of fantastic wine!
