As far as dates, I can enjoy anything from lunch or dinner at Gallo Blanco, hiking Squaw Peak, or walking Tempe Town Lake. In the end, it’s not where I go, what I do, or what I eat (well maybe…hehe), but whether I feel a connection with the person. A little about what I'm looking for: Someone who can keep up but also help me slow down occasionally. I'm attracted to a sense of humor that's a little off beat and appreciate the quirks and contradictions that make people interesting. I don't really do cookie cutter, so bring some personality and spark to the table. I'm not interested in stagnating as a person, so I tend to gravitate toward guys that have goals and are interested in growing into the best version of themselves. Couch potatoes, people with no opinions or hobbies need not apply. It'd be cool to find an open-minded, adventurous, multi-faceted guy, who can teach me something new and is open to learning and growing. I'm not the type of girl that has to be in a relationship to be happy, I'm having a blast on my own, but it'd be great to meet someone who wants to come along for the adventure. An explorer, with a unique view who isn't afraid to debate, risk looking silly, or get out there and try something new. Someone who can handle a little feisty teasing/playing and dish it out in return. Someone who can keep me in line (a little) and call me on my BS when I'm being ridiculous (it's pretty often, but sometimes it happens). People that know me best would say I'm feisty, affectionate, goofy, active, loyal, a bit stubborn, witty, level-headed, fun, honest (I try to tell the truth, all the time with compassion). Of course they'd start with the awesome stuff, but they'd also tell you the downsides: I have trouble slowing down and taking time for myself, I overanalyze and my closet is messy (literally, that's not a euphemism for actual skeletons in the closet, I roll pretty drama and secret free).
I'm usually on the go; if I'm not working or teaching I'm hiking, going to yoga, rock climbing, volunteering at the animal shelter or rowing. I love to enjoy all Phoenix has to offer: First Friday, festivals and live music. I'm always there for friends and family. I love to explore and see what the world has to offer, either around the corner or around the globe. And in my limited down time I'm content curled up with a great book, watch silly shows, and just enjoy having the time to decompress.
I pretty much love my life. I just quit my mind numbing, "paid the bills, but left me bankrupt in the soul" 9-5 gig, and I'm launching my own business. It's been an amazing journey, exciting and scary all at once, but hey that's kinda like life right? So far I'm not living/working out of a box, so I guess it's going well! Life is just too short not to take the risk and move into something amazing. I love the flexibility it's affording me and that I get to do what I love. Yoga is also a passion and I teach part time and I'm currently going through advanced yoga teacher training. Between the two (and all that fun), I'm pretty busy, so someone who can be a little understanding of a crazy schedule and isn't going to get insecure if it keeps me from being fully available all the time. Believe me, I'm worth the wait and I make the time for the things and people that are important to me. And at least you know with a schedule like that I'm not a stage five clinger.
