For me, dating has become mostly an arrangement of convenience, having no real feelings for each other, but more for what they provide each other: Will she look good enough on my arm at work parties, will he make enough money when he is 35 to buy me the Lexus I want, etc. I really wish it were a simple matter of feelings like when we were all young, when those simple gestures, like a hand written note passed between classes, and those gut wrenching butterflies that led us to who we dated. I am merely looking for a connection, no demands, no expectations, just a chance to see something that makes me feel something other than the good old we’ll that’s good enough.
