. I currently work for a small design firm. i love what i do, and love the people i work with. I'm also an artist, and actively show my work. I've worked very hard for the last few years and ready to slow down and enjoy life a little bit more.I am very close with my family and visit with them often... either at the beach or in the mountains. I have very close friends that I would do anything for, it's just unfortunate that most of them no longer live here. but i do visit them often!I enjoy watching other people cook, although I'm not so bad myself ...just not my strong suit. i do like eating at all of the great local restaurants around here and learning more about the amazing local resources. I enjoy a great cocktail, an amazing wine, and a cold beer... there is nothing better than enjoying those things with friends and family.I grew up swimming competitively, and started running in high school, and continued into college. i did triathlons for several years, but have not managed to keep up with the rigorous training. . First off, I have to say that Match.com DID WORK for me...well, sort of. I met someone on here and it lasted 7 months. It's been a while and I'm ready to meet another great guy and hopefully we're a match!
I'm pretty laid back and somewhat a home-body...I love a hot bubble bath, staying under the covers til noon ocassionally and have been known to partake in movie marathon days. BUT don't get me wrong, most of my favorite things to do are outdoors like camping, beachcombing, taking photos and traveling. Winter outdoor activities pretty much consist of scenic walks and sledding (Arctic Valley growing up was the best). I recently started doing yoga and practicing meditation. I'm interested in discovering the true meaning and purpose in my life and meditation is one way to search for answers.Everyone either conciously or sub-conciously wants to discover their purpose, right?!?
I tend to be more introverted than outgoing when I first meet people but when I'm surrounded by outgoing and playful people, the silliness comes out. I work to live, not live to work so...I enjoy my job, co-workers and customers but try and be there as little as possible so I have lots of time to do other things like spend time with friends and making jewelry, etc. I am responsible though. My perfect match would not be consumed by work and would have a good amount of time for himself, friends, hobbies and me.
I lived in Kona, Hawaii for 5 years (and LOVED it) and am thinking about moving back, or maybe somewhere else warm, near the ocean...like Florida or Cali. The guy I'll end up with will also be ready to leave this great state in the next year or so.
