Meet someone special from Birmingham, United States. I am passionate about travel, especially experiencing new cultures and taking in beautiful or unusual scenery. I began traveling to Europe to visit family at an early age. These days, traveling helps me to unwind and recharge. This is much needed as I spend the majority of my time taking care of others.
My last big trip combined my love of adventure with helping those less fortunate. I participated in a medical mission trip (Operation Walk) in Guayaquil, Ecuador. It was an amazing experience and pushed me beyond the boundaries of my comfort zone. I met new friends, gained a new appreciation for freedom, as well as gratitude for the many everyday "luxuries" of the American way of life.
A girl can't be all work and no play, right? After an exhausting week of work in Ecuador, I sailed around the Galapagos Islands on a 10 passenger sailboat for 5 days. Each night we sailed to a new island and were accompanied by a naturalist guide on each excursion. We came in close contact with endemic wildlife. Amazingly, these animals lack any instinctive fear of humans. Other activities included snorkeling, sea kayaking, hiking, and exploring a deep lava tube. This was truly a once in a life time adventure!
I also enjoy US travel. One favorite excursion has been a brisk fall walk along the Freedom Trail and stopping for a lobster roll in Faneuil Hall Marketplace in Boston. Additional favorite travel spots are Hawaii, San Francisco, Seattle, and DC.

If you like to have fun, do some major outdoor activities and laugh ALOT...you need to stop right here! My friend is first of all ADORABLE. She's attractive, sexy, in shape and loves her kids. She loves to cook and is pretty good at it too. She's got a gazillion degrees and seems to love to go back to school and get more. She's most proud though of her girls. They are adorable too and love to kayak, run, bike and hike with their momma.
My friend is looking mostly for someone to hang out with...maybe a relationship at some point in the future...who knows? She's always up for any outdoor, sportsy stuff, but she also likes to go to musicals, plays and any kind of travel. She likes trying new restaurants and trying new wines.
Did I mention she likes any kind of outdoor activity that involves working up a sweat? She's done more races, tri's and halfs than I can count and is my "go-to friend" when it comes to anything adventure related.

I love what I do--I am a college band director. My job requires a certain level of commitment and constant effort to work towards new goals. Every day, I push myself and others to achieve things at a higher level. That's usually a strength, but I can have some workaholic tendencies as a result. In addition to work and school, I enjoy spending time with my 2 awesome greyhounds, I try to run several times a week, I work out with a trainer to tone and strengthen, and I love to cook and entertain in my home.
