I would like to do something different here. Things that I am NOT: A sports fan, a morning person, outdoorsy, religious, fanatic, or disloyal. I am deeply philosophical about many subjects among them the concept of contractual relationships aka marriage. Though never married, I have an intrinsically cynical view of that institution. However, I strongly believe in monogamy and tend to completely devote myself to the person that is in my life. I love children but somehow I lack the anthropological drive of procreation. I guess I am not perfect after all.
I am currently engaged in reviving a lifelong passion for photography. Very few things please me more than to engage in long conversation about this art form. I dream of one day make it as a full time photographer.

I'm just a good, old-fashioned Southern gentleman looking for a woman who likes being treated like a lady. I'm sincere, and I like to think that I'm genuine in how I relate to others. It's a way of being polite and showing respect. There's something to be said for having manners and being polite. In addition to being a gentleman, I'm also all over the board when it comes to what interests me. I worked in Sports in the newspaper industry for almost 18 years and I'm an avid NFL and NBA fan. I also love riding motorcycles on quick trips around town, short getaways, or long weekend trips. I've always been a fan of working out and exercising. Obviously, all of that represents the jock side of me.
I also love technology and tinkering with any kind of computers and gadgets. I recently earned my second bachelors degree (after almost two decades as a journalist, I've reinvented myself and earned a degree in Information Systems). I'm launching a second career in the IT field and looking forward to seeing where it will take me. I guess that's the nerdy, geeky side of me.
I like to travel and see new places and people that are different from what I experience in everyday life. I love trying new restaurants and new types of food. I'm an avid fan of the Food Network and I enjoy trying new recipes in the kitchen or on the grill. That's the curious and creative side of me.
I also love to learn and grow. I hope to be better tomorrow than I am today. That's the ambitious and intellectual side of me. There's also a spiritual/religious side of me that I'd be willing to share with the right person.
As for what I'm looking for in a woman, I'd have to start with a person being sincere and genuine. Tell me what you think, not what you think I want to hear. Be open and honest with me. After that, make me laugh or make me stop and ponder what you just said. Accept me as I am, just the way that I'll accept you for who you are. I'm not looking for that perfect person, because no one is perfect. I'm just looking for that imperfect person who's perfect for me. I hope I can be that same imperfect person who's perfect for her.

Ok ladies, I'm sure you heard it all before...I'm a great guy with great qualities...blah, blah, blah, here's the truth....I'm 44 years old, I love my family and friends. I pride myself in being pretty versatile. I can hold my own in the kitchen, but can also roll up my sleeves and rebuild an engine, or renovate something in the house. I am an artist with an engineering education, and a creative business side as well.
