I am an easygoing guy living a good life here in Colorado, but I'm missing that special person in my life. I love the outdoors and hope you do too. I like spontaneous road trips (but I need enough time to board my dog) to the mountains to hike further away than the front range. I do not mind heading into the closest town to get a better meal or bed if I am not up to sleeping in the tent for some reason.
I've lived in Vermont (loved it), Pennsylvania (where I grew up), Virginia (lots of ticks kicked me out), New Hampshire, California (for a short stint) and finally home to Colorado. I am here and feeling grounded, but I want a special person/family to share it with.
I'm not religious, but I believe in the power of positive thoughts (prayers sometimes). I believe if I set the intention and believe in it, it will be.

Date people from Longmont, United States. Have you read enough of these things?! Do they all read the same? I’ll try to make this short, yet detailed-enough to paint a decent,and hopefully, unique, picture...
I am initially pretty shy, and maybe even a tad "guarded"(I've been told), but open-up easily if I sense a connection. I have a good sense of humor, and am very easy going, yet hard-working. A hard-working type "B", I suppose. I have an interesting and flexible job supporting an industry I enjoy. I am still amazed how it has evolved in the last 10-12 years, or so.
I tend to be active outside and enjoy all four seasons in Colorado, but need a beach now and then(preferably one that faces west for the sunset and is a non-stop from DIA). I love simple times with good friends and family, good food and drink, and prefer casual get-togethers over loud raucous crowds(unless I'm at TBF, or some other concert/festival). I'm more of a shorts and Tevas, or jeans, kind-of guy, but can dress up.
My kids are 13, 18, and 23, I have a 6yo yellow lab. The kids(and the dog, for that matter!) are all very respectful, good human beings! The eldest is pretty-much on autopilot, living on her own and attending grad school. The younger two are very active, right now, just being kids, growing up way too fast. I have 50/50 custody of them with a Friday pm switch. On my “off” weeks I attend as many of their activities as I can. I bring this up as I remain as active as possible with my kids’ lives. I hope to find someone in the same “place”, or that really understands my “place” in this regard. This someone will have values and interests similar to mine(but variety is always good), and will have true all-around integrity and morals. This last statement carries a lot of weight in my world....if you are superficial, materialistic, a liar, a thief or have cheated on a spouse/boyfriend, move on... I've been there. I'm not here to rescue anyone emotionally or financially, and don't need that myself. I hope to find a "natural" and "easy" relationship that just feels right...and am hoping you are looking for the same. We can be doing something elaborate and planned, simply nothing at all, or something utterly spontaneous-yet it will just feel right.
You're intelligent and reasonably educated, and there is a good chance you have a little hippie in you, because that is who you are. You are young at heart and seek fun adventures/trips off the beaten path a bit. The previous being said, you also know when to be responsible and show your maturity because people care about you. I'm no saint, you're probably not, either...
Warmer weather is upon us, so I’ll be outside as much as possible....rafting/camping, checking-out hot springs, catching some live music here(local street fairs, Oskar Blues, TBF) and there(love to find myself at small mtn venues. Come winter..., skiing/boarding(beginner)/snow-shoeing and all else...Want to grab a coffee, a bite or a drink?
(BTW, I do not like my pictures, have been told I really need new ones, but just do not find myself on that side of the camera too often! I just just added some new, mostly from a trip in Feb 2011, and deleted a couple older...)
