I grew up in a small town in Wyoming with a Dutch father and American mother. After getting my Bachelor’s in Philadelphia, I lived in SoCal for 4 years racing bikes professionally, working as a healthcare consultant and getting my pilot’s license. I finally just landed my dream job flying corporate jets out of the Casper/Denver Area and I’m ready to be geographically stable for at least a few years.
I’ve always been an incredibly active person. In High School I ran X-country, Track and Indoor Track. At college I quickly became a competitive cyclist and in the past two years I’ve gotten into triathalons. I also love backpacking, skiing, pretty much anything that’s outdoors and offers a challenge.
My family is very important to me and I’ve always been very close with my parents and brothers. I love kids. Probably not the best thing to say on a dating website but it’s true. I treat my friends’ kids like my own and they love me like an uncle. I’m not quite ready to have kids of my own but I’m getting there.
I can get along with just about anyone but the women that really catch my attention are usually the life of the party in social situations and are very strongly motivated to whatever they’re current goal is in life. I’m a very positive and driven person and I like to surround myself with the same. The other most important quality is a strong will. I want to be challenged.

It’s important to me to meet a woman who values her independence and who is in a good place in her own life to start a relationship. There are three parts to take care of in a relationship. The self, the other, and the relationship. First you have to take care of yourself in order to take care of the other two, and it is important to have a foundation with yourself before you can take care of the other and the relationship. But let’s be honest here, no one is perfect today, and life is a continual growing experience. We will continue to take care of ourselves and grow throughout life. I don’t believe take care of ones self has to be mutually exclusive from being in a relationship. In a good relationship, your partner should strengthen your independence and your own self through their support and complementation in your life.
It’s easy to fall in Love and hard to stay in love. It’s important for me to be in a relationship with someone who is willing to try and focus building a healthy relationship. Health and eating well is important to me. I try and eat organic whole foods. I love to cook and try new things. I have read and seen to much on the industrial processed foods not to enjoy delicious fresh produce.
I have a passion for the outdoors and making things with my hands. I've started community gardens, I rescue swarms of bees and put them holistic home on a small farm in Boulder. If you haven't heard a full hive working in the summer, i highly suggest it. (If you're lucky they'll sing to you).
I love the idea of small farming and creating beautiful things to eat and share from the land. One of my dreams it to have a small farm with a bunch of sheep to chase (ok well maybe i'll get some puppies to round them up for me) a nice little garden and an orchard.. almost forgot barn kittens. I don't think you can have a farm without them.
I love to cook and make huge dinners for all my friends. In the summer i'm usually out camping, hiking, canoeing, traveling or seeing live music. In the winter months i'm usually inside doing crafts (like stained glass, making cheese, making soap, knitting, dying projects, whatever inspires me really), skiing or finding some sort of crazy adventure to get into.
