It seems I have been forced to 'venture out'. Sigh....
I think my dear 'interventionist's' would describe me as sweet natured, kind, naturally happy and always tend to see the funny side of everything. I was raised to be helpful, look out for others, pitch in and very self sufficient. My dad gave me a tool box and a tackle box for my 14th birthday and I am lethal with both. I was raised as a tom boy and still am at heart. I do like to get dressed up with all the bells and whistles, but I will also be the one to fix a circuit breaker without taking off the Herve Lerger' first.
I am not a drama queen, nor possessive or insecure in my relationships. I believe trust is one of the sexiest things and most important thing that you can have together. It's an absolute must.
I like people that have a spontaneous nature. I do not do well with people that dissect and over think everything until it becomes moot and arrives D.O.A. Life is just way too short not to take a spur of the moment leap. Even if it's just hopping in the car to see if that beach side diner really does serve the 'Best cheeseburger in the world". lol.
I also tend to be very positive and believe that everything is always going to be okay. I am very childlike in nature, but am still mature and serious when need to be. I do embrace that trait in others. I take delight in world around me and how blessed I am to be here. I am not jaded. I still believe in happy endings and 'the' fairy tale. That dreams still do come true.
I love to hang out on the couch and watch football marathons or catch up on movies. In my jammie's, eating grilled cheese sandwiches. Or maybe a hotdog or two with the works. ; ) If you are with the right person, it is as exciting as that 5 star restaurant in the city. If that person 'gets you' it feels and is the same. "La dolcezza di non fare nulla" - The art of doing nothing....
And yes I love to travel. And yes, I have a small bucket list. But I am just as happy being next to you in your oversized sweater on the deck watching the sun go down and waiting for that lucky green flash. What is important is the sincere act of wanting to have an adventure. To dream it together. It keeps you young and playful.
Finally I do love to cook and tend to err on the side of plenty. It's a family trait. Death by 4 different appetizers and 1-2 entrees for dinner. We also like to celebrate a lot. Big things, small things. Moments matter. But that's just me. I love to look after people, and surprise them in different ways. A best seller that is sold out, tickets to The Greek for a favorite band, or just having your favorite cocktail in hand as you come through the door after a tough day. I loved to indulge people and it makes my day to make someone else's. I am that girl that will arrive with 2 oversized lobsters to throw on the BBQ, and a bottle of chilled champagne, because it's well, Tuesday for goodness sake.
