Doing my part to make this world a better place to live, I volunteer, helping others that are less fortunate. I founded a non-profit organization and realized great pride in the enhanced lives of the many that participated. As a result I wrote and published my first book.
Life is a moving target and I don't plan on standing still but enjoying each day to the fullest. The gym in my garage gets a little dusty at times but it sure makes working out convenient. I enjoy walking at the Rose Bowl, watching all the activity around me but enjoying the serenity. I am always searching for that great cup of coffee, a new favorite wine, good music, a healthy place to dine in a new location. For starters, I am a full time working professional who has spent the last 24 years working for a local school district and have loved every moment of it. I am financially secure, hold a BS in health sciences, a post graduate degree in child growth and development, RN from Calif. School Health credentials from Teachers Credentialing in California, among others.
I am healthy, busy, and open-minded, am faithful, trustworthy, and very responsible. I value honesty and sincerity. I have been to many parts of the world and have a variety of interests, from music of all sorts (especially classical), to theater and dance, gardening, reading, etc. I love fine dining, but also take greatest pleasure in sharing romantic evenings with someone by my side helping, chopping herbs and garlic and onions while sipping wine, and over good conversation. I adore listening to romantic music or the news if anything is worth listening to as well as cooking and entertaining my family and friends at home.
I am health conscious but am not a health freak. That said, I love going out, whether attending concerts or performances or dancing the night away. In my quiet moments I love to read. I read everything from old classics to modern literature, poetry, history and mystery, health, science, and politics. I subscribe to several magazines including National Geographic, Smithsonian, Gourmet, Food & Wine, Health, Prevention, and others. I like old movies but also enjoy non-violent contemporary films too. Television stations I like include the History and Travel Channels, the Food Network, PBS, CNN and TV Land's Bonanza! I stay well-informed about current events and enjoy discussing issues of the day.
I would like to find someone to share my post-work life with. Primarily, I am looking for someone with a good sense of humor and who is willing to become a good friend, companion and partner doing things together etc.... We don't have to share every interest, but we should each be willing to accommodate each others interests with respect and whimsy.
