I thrive on affection... giving and getting, whether we are out on the town and it's a PDA or if we are just curled up on the couch watching a movie and cuddling. I enjoy traveling and have done a lot this year so far. I also cook and enjoy doing so for the right person. My favorite is Italian, however I also do southern dishes fairly well. I spend my free time enjoying the great outdoors. Camping, hiking and I'm an avid shooter. When I'm not outdoors I like curling up and watching movies or gaming with friends.

Grew up in Mich, headed out west 20 years ago to work as a camp counselor for Easter Seals serving kids with disabilities.
Found Tucson started teaching folks with brain injuries to regain abilities. Volunteered helping kids with disabilities ride horses for physical therapy.
Appreciate folks who are upbeat, honest and direct.

I prefer it: the pace is more laid-back, people tend to be more friendly and far less superficial (caring about more than how trendy your clothes are and how large your bank account is) and it's still possible to have fun when you're in the mood for it. I enjoy shooting pool, outdoorsy things, going out to eat or to hang out in a coffeehouse or diner and chat, bowling, poker, trying new things, and spreading laughter! I'm a very inquisitive person and have a wide spectrum of interests. Sometimes I'll want to do something in particular, but often the company is more important than the activity for me. I can dress up if the occasion merits, but I'm much more comfortable in jeans and sneakers. I also believe in treating someone the way you like to be treated. I enjoy the romance of little actions (opening doors for someone, making little surprises, and more) and definitely don't think that "romance" needs to be a major (and rare) production -- though something big now and then is nice, too. And if you're secure enough to write, even though I may be shorter than you are, you earn bonus points for being self-assured!
