Im not entirely comfortable "selling" myself since I truly believe two people should meet and get to know one another slowly over time, but here goes.... I'm a college professor in Tucson and love to travel and am planning to relocate, at least part time, when I retire in a few more years. I also own a small business. I grew up with the Hudson river in my back yard (literally) in the Catskill Mtns, and have been living in the west for many years. I love the beauty of the outdoors, and have a small ranch in the desert, a cabin in the White Mountains, and a home in the Wasatch Mtns of Utah. I enjoy my long summer vacations which include road-trips, Sailing/kayaking/canoeing, Hiking, travel to new places and seeking out bookstores, theater,Jazz/blues/folk concerts and festivals, cooking, reading, tinkering with old cars and fine dining.

I'm a romantic at heart and seeking someone who I can share a comfortable time with... and who can also can feel that same special connection with me... a sacred partnership filled with lots of laughter and sincerity that develops over time. Being a team-player in a relationship is important to me. I have old fashioned values and hope to meet someone with the same who values good conversation, compatibility and companionship. I enjoy independent and creative thinkers, but not to the point of complete autonomy in the relationship. Someone who can be an equal partner in a loving relationship would be my ideal match. I am down to earth, open, honest, easy going, confident, compassionate, energetic, affectionate and adventuress. A good listener and communicator. Always working on being a better person. I am concerned with what I eat, and I exercise, because I like being and looking healthy. (ie, no one over size 10 please) Although I am not paranoid about getting older, I would like to find the one to finish out life with. Would love to have that include making mega memories with many vacations. I feel that being up front and honest about everything is best. Putting your real face on from the start, is better than putting your best face on, because you don't want to waste time. Pet hair drives me crazy, and not in a good way. Also, I have no desire to sleep with pets on the bed. Sorry, I like animals, but I can not be with anyone that puts their relationship with their animals ahead of their relationship with humans. My Meyers Briggs is ENFJ, and they say that is best suited to INFP or ISFP, for what that is worth. My three prominent love languages that I am also best at supporting in order are, Physical Touch, Quality Time, Words of Affirmation. I would like to find someone worth committing to.

It is important that your kid/animal situation is such that will allow you to travel, as I have a strong desire to get caught up on some over due traveling.
God is important in my life, and I would like to find a mate that we could feed off each other to grow our relationship with God. With that being said, I also must say that I do not like religion. I feel it is too legalistic.
Although I am willing to date someone from the south Phoenix area, if things went well, would you be willing to move to Tucson? I have a great job that I am not willing to leave. Sorry.
