It is aways hard to describe what you are looking for as often you only know when you find them. Naturally someone with similar interests for instance I enjoy watching some sports but not a fanatic. I work hard so when it is playtime, I want to have fun. Obviously i ride motorcycles but that is only a small part of my relaxation. I could spend hours on the deck at my cabon just enjoying the sound of the wind rystling thru the tall pine. Never thought of myself as a bird watcher but since i bought that cabin, I have discovered that pastime.
I love to cook, for one or many. I have often dreamed of owning a restaurant and perhaps when I get out of my current occupation, I may just do that, a small quaint place, limited menu but different every day, consigned art adorning the walls.
Working woith my hands is also a good way to relax as my work is more mentally challenging than physically. I have a retaining wall project at my house in mexico that is in it's second year, will probably take another 5 years to complete, it's not a task, it's a hobby so why rush.
It's easy enough to get distracted when you have a partner with great conversation coupled with a glass of red wine.
