I?m really a simple (down to earth) guy, positive, have no need to pretend, play games or put on some kind of front to impress anyone. I don?t get ?spooled up? over things that are not important and that?s just about everything. I'm organized and tidy...even put the toilet seat down but can still relax and let things go (to a point). I have common sense and can fix things that need to be fixed but know the difference when a situation does not need to be ?fixed? but just someone that will listen. I like shopping and can get ?lost? in a good antique store. I enjoy going out?dancing, dinning, theater and live concerts as much as lying on the couch watching a good movie. I can dress up or dress down depending on the occasion. I like to cook...I am no gourmet chef but find it relaxing and fun, especially with the right person. I have been told I kiss better than I cook though. I love the outdoors and all the peace of mind and beauty that can be found. I like to bicycle, go for hikes (especially exploring Indian ruins), boating and four wheeling to places not crowded and scenery that can be breathtaking. Camping??only if requested. A hot shower, clean sheets and a comfortable bed are just too much a pleasure to pass up after a day outside. My entire family is in the valley except my son and they are extremely important to me.

Just recently retired and at this point in my life, I'd like to find someone to share some laughter, conversation, dining, and companionship in a monogamous relationship. I don't see the glass as half full, nor half empty, but rather a glass that's twice as big as it needs to be (ok, I stole that from George Carlin) I'm interested in someone who is down to earth, enjoys simple pleasures, and has a sense of humor, which, if it's somewhat sarcastic, is even better.. I like going out occasionally to dine, but I find eating at home more healthy. I also enjoy going to a movie or a comedy club, and an occasional happy hour.. But I also enjoy spending time at home, doing things like home projects, barbequing, listening to music on the patio on a nice evening, having a nice breakfast w/coffee while reading the paper, doing a crossword, walking the dog, and listening to the rain and thunder during a good monsoon. I also enjoy new release DVD's, Cardinals and Packers football, Suns basketball and comedy sitcoms. I love to play golf, and got fairly good at it, considering that I started playing it relatively late in my life. I think it's nice for one to have a passion about something in life, but I don't think it needs to be the same thing for both people to share in a relationship. Spending enjoyable time together afterwards is just as good.

I'm a lucky guy, really. I have a wonderful granddaughter, Charlie, who claims we are BFF's, she keeps me busy, always doing something, loves puzzles. Almost every night, about a half hour before bedtime she jumps on my bed and chats away like a twenty year old as she watches Mickey Mouse.(she's only 3 1/2) I've got good long time buddies, once in a while we grab a cigar and hang out at the Biltmore and watch the pretty people go by as we talk about everything from women to politics and religion. We are seldom right, but it does not matter. I've got an ex wife, we were lousy married people but were, and still are, best of friends. We raised a cool daughter together. Things are good, except I need that special woman, if you are still reading this, and aren't bored to death....maybe it's you.
I looked at some of the profiles, there are surely a lot of very good women however, I have noticed that a lot of women express the desire for a man no older than 55.......what am I chopped liver:). Sure, I'm over 55, hell I'm over 60 (just a little) but I have a young spirit, drive and attitude.
