. i am basically a quiet person, but occasionally i feel the urge to cut loose and be a little crazy. that does not happen often, because i have to be with friends and family that i feel safe around. i mostly sit on the side lines and observe, but once again the urge to explode is there (explode in a fun way, not in anger). i love my 3 adult kids and my grand babies. they are the most important people in my life. i have a dog and a cat that keeps me company, but i long for the companionship and strength of strong arms to hold and uplift me. however, i don't want to be suffocated by a controlling man. sometimes i want to be submissive and sometimes i like to be the dominate partner. i like to tinker & putter around my house, but i get bored easily. my dog is a chocolate lab and i think her disposition suits me. in other words, she is a busy, friendly, loving pup and i am likewise. not that i am comparing myself to a dog, but i'm not a yappy noisy or lap dog type of person. i am a mix of opposites. i love to wear high heels and stockings and smell good, but i also am comfortable in work gloves and bunny boots. i like to be lazy sometimes as well as busy. i like quiet times and fun noisy times. i don't mind cooking and cleaning, but don't strap me down to just being a housewife. i have deep emotions. when i love i love deep and long. i am a good lover and a great friend. i know when to give and when to take (although i am much more of a giver than a taker, but that's something that i am working on). i try to be a good listener and am working even harder now on listening to learn. not just listening to serve my own ego and wishes. but to truly be a partner in life.

Hello and thanks for stopping.... having found myself in Denver, CO as a single empty-nester in a job that did not fit me, I took a chance and ran away to Alaska... actually, I was lured here by the beauty of the place, the wonderfully friendly people, and a great job. I'm looking for a companion and friend to share the adventure of this wonderland, someone who likes to get out and explore the untravelled paths, experience new and interesting places, and has a curiosity for the world around them. I'm a warm, affectionate, energetic 50-something old with a sense of adventure. My goal this year is to learn to scuba dive so I can escape to a warm climate in the middle of our long winters and do something besides lay on the beach... I'm adventurous and willing to try (most) new things, with the possible exceptions of skydiving and body piercings in strange places. There's lots of adventures still to be had!
