Date a soulmate from Alabama, United States. My name is Matthew and I've lived in Alabama most of my life. I signed up with the military when I was 18 so I could pay for school and other reasons. I've seen many places most of them good and then I was deployed, so I'll mark that up as a not so good. After I was Honorably Discharged from the military I moved around AL for awhile working here and there and finally ended up back in my hometown. I still have awhile on my GI Bill so I was thinking of going back to school. If I do go back it will be for massage therapy. It's sort of lame but hey $36 an hour isn't so bad for a side job and the school is only 9 months. It's still a toss up about school because I have the urge to sign back up since the military offers stability. I'm sure I'll have my mind made up near the end of this year.
I'm really not sure how to go about writing down what I'm looking for in a woman other than the fact she has to have a great personality along with morals. I like the outdoors so I would have to say they would have to like that as well, not all the time, but it has to be worked in a some point. I'm going to leave it at this for now. I am currently an Aerospace Engineer for the Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville, Alabama. It's extremely satisfying. My family and friends are all back in Florida so naturally I love anything to do with the water. I enjoy music of all varieties but i'm mostly a country boy. It always throws people for a loop around here that I like country (apparently I don't look like the type that jams out to country lol). And I like the old school stuff, "Two Dozen Roses" is probably my fave.
I also enjoy messing around on my keyboard and writing music. I just recently started writing songs to all the music that I have came up with over the years and people seem to like what i've put together thus far so I guess I'll keep trying to write more. I suck at mixing and producing but i'm getting better as I learn the software, but I enjoy the challenge.

As far as what I am looking for:
I don't like pretentious; I like genuine! I'm not in "search" for a soul mate, as I believe an event of such magnitude can not be premeditated and will simply "happen" when it is meant to be. It would however, be nice to get out meet someone and expand on the idea. So who here has a true a sense of adventure? Someone that wants to see and do it all, and can make that happen, or simply likes to talk about any topic with substance? I'm looking for someone that knows themselves well, and is self sufficient and self driven. Someone that isn't afraid to try new things and that will encourage me to do the same. Sarcasm is a must! Life is too short to be distraught over petty mishaps and scenarios. I need someone that can laugh when times are tough, and enjoy themselves regardless of the trials they are facing. I have learned there are a couple things that are important to me for a relationship to really grow. Follow through, appreciation, compassion and thoughtfullness. I played team sports since before I could walk al the way through college, since its been about mens leagues and indvidual activites.
