Date a man from Opelika, United States. Hi! My name is Roshunn. I dont know what to expect from this. I have gotten frustrated with doing the same ol things, so i figured i would try something new. Im a hardworker, proud father, and part time college student. God and Family are the most important things to me right now. Im not perfect, I dont live in a perfect world, and i dont expect to find a perfect woman. Im very straight forward, which sometimes I think is my biggest flaw. I know exactly what I'm looking for, but I haven't found it.
Meet single man from Opelika, United States. So, what am I? I guess that is one of the big questions of life… how does one write something here that actually comes close to realizing that existential dilemma?
I like to create: I build things, paint, and draw. As an art educator working in a museum setting, I aim to help others learn how to make things, and appreciate the arts. I keep a studio, and when I’m not studying (working on PhD that I should finish by 2014), I enjoy painting, and more recently crafting furniture with reclaimed wood.
I’m mellow, a pacifist, and aim to be a considerate humanitarian. I want people around me to be happy and positive, and I hope to be encouraging. That sounds really cheesy, but that’s just what I tend to do. I’ve been told I’m very diplomatic and patient.
I tend towards conversations about philosophy and politics, which I can get pretty ramped up about. I have strong opinions, and I want to share them without being a jerk, as well as hear the opinions of another, without taking them too personally (I’m sensitive sometimes, but not a big baby). I like challenging others, and I equally enjoy being pushed to defend my stances.
I’m annoyingly affectionate, quick to make a joke or movie reference, and keen to talk about big ideas, NPR podcasts, good books, fine art, internet memes, and the joys of drinking craft brews. I constantly want to learn, although a lazy day in a hammock is pretty awesome.
I can be a movie snob, from classic Hitchcock to Wes Anderson’s work, not that I won’t check out the rom com of the week... For music, my taste is sort of all over the place: Elvis Costello, Radiohead, Al Green, Elliott Smith, Deadmau5, The Smiths, Wilco, Regina Spektor… there’s a lot of great music out there. The TV is usually off, but I’ll catch the Daily Show and Colbert online. Always Sunny, Mad Men, and Jeopardy are other favorites. I spend a good amount of time online, although my time with video games has drastically decreased since getting back to school, and you know, growing up.
I was raised in Michigan, but Alabama was “home,” and where my extended family lives. My parents raised me as an Auburn fan, and after going to school in Ohio, the chance came up to work at AU, I took it, if just for the faculty/staff discount on football tickets.
I keep editing this, hopefully it’ll help you get to know what sort of guy I am… although the best way would be to meet me. edpsychandrew on skype, since I’m not fancy on this site.
Date someone special from Opelika, United States. I'm a down south country guy, for those who don't know what that is. I'll say this, I like to be with the people I care about, family, friends, and that special person. I do occasionally like to go off on little adventures with people, if the need comes up. But I would rather spend time at home enjoying the company I have, simplicity is a lifestyle for me. I'd like someone who does'nt get jealous if i'm around or talking to other girls...Cause I don't mind if she talks to other guys...I just want someone to accept me for what I am not, what I can be or what I can become.I would like to meet people outgoing but not party animals. To many parties can get a bit boring after a while. I'd prefer someone who likes to spend as much time at home as they do going out to party's, and other little adventures. Also I cannot stand racist people. as they say the south is a great melting pot. Also jealous people make me sick. I'd prefer someone who does'nt mind getting into arguements with me, and plays to win. But does'nt really care about the arguement from the start. (you know... lets argue for the hell of it.) I enjoy people with a not as much witty, but more or less sacastic type of humor.
