I have been single for 11 years. During that time I have been on and off of match several times. This season of singleness has caused me to do some soul searching which has led to a new outlook on life. I beleive that God has a plan for me- a good plan- one that is better than I can imagine. With that as my basis, I have decided to abandon my controlling tendencies, my lists, and my dating formula (yes I had developed a dating formula), and just enjoy this time in my life. I am grateful for my girls. I have two daughters, ages 12 and 14. They are my inspiration, the reason I exist. I am enjoying this tween / teen stage just as much as I have enjoyed every other one. Each stage is different with it's own set of challenges but lots of smiles have prevailed.
I am grateful for my family. I have a supportative, loved filled family.
I am grateful for my faith. Without it I would not survive.
I am grateful for my dog. I have a toy poodle who has been my trusted companion. He is the one "person" who is excited to see me whenever I walk in the door. I love being greeted by his wagging tail. I have had a salt water aquarium in the past. It was so beautiful and peaceful. I have also had cats, but find them too aloof for me. You can't cuddle with a fish or cat.
I am grateful for my career. I work hard, long hours and I am challenged daily. I have a rewarding career for which I am thankful.
I am grateful for my health. I have started running again. My goal is to complete a 10k. I was working toward that earlier this year but got derailed by my daughter's volleyball schedule. So I am starting over and that is ok. I also enjoy Zumba and dancing either ballroom or booty shaking. As for workouts, I bought the Insanity workout- it is well named.
I am grateful for men. I like men. I appreciate our differences. You have characterics and qualities that I do not have and visa versa. Both are needed for balance. I like men who have opinions, can make decisions, and can mix in gentleness.
I am grateful when I see older couples together. Nothiing make me happier than to see older couples who still like each other. The other day I was in the store and this old man was buying flowers from his scooter for his sweetheart. It made me smile. Conversely, nothing makes me sadder than to hear women degrade their husbands. Like I have said we are different and that is a good thing.

I am grateful to be living here!! I love the beach, give me sand in my shoes and I will only complain a tiny bit. I love being at the beach, by the water, in the water, on the water, around water (pools / hot tubs), even above water (thinking of being on the end of a pier with a glass of wine!!)
