Faith, family and close friends are a very important part of my life. Friends and family describe me as funny, honest, sweet, kind, loving and loyal. If I didn?t know better, I would think they were describing my dogs. I love all animals but I am unconditionally loved and owned by my dogs - they allow me to pay the mortgage for them. I accomplish this with my career as a Systems Analyst. I reward my hard work by participating in many activities. Although, the activity is not as important to me as sharing experiences with others. I am comfortable getting dressed up for a Broadway show (Les Miserables is my favorite) or simply wearing jeans with a t-shirt to watch a game (college/pro football, basketball and baseball). Music and Movie preferences tend to say a lot about a person. I suppose my preferences would tell others I am very easygoing and entertaining. My music collection includes every style of music with rock/pop being the heaviest influence. My movie collection includes all genres but is heavy on comedies as I absolutely love to laugh. A sense of humor is priceless. I enjoy making others laugh and laughing with them ... or simply laughing at myself! Basically, my interests are far-reaching as I always appreciate discovering new pastimes and imagining new dreams. One of the many dreams I have is to travel more. My travels at this point include escapes to the mountains, beach, and going on cruises. I would like to experience more excursions within the US (see Hawaii, take a Disney or Alaskan Cruise) as well as travel abroad (maybe see parts of South America or Europe).

I love to laugh and I'm not afraid to laugh at myself. I'm a little shy and a little bold. Trust and honesty go hand-in-hand and both are very important to me. You'll usually find me with a smile on my face. I try and do something new every day. Life is full of firsts-no matter how small they might seem. There are so many things in life to experience. I'm a positive person and look for a way to smile (and make someone else smile!) every day. I try and live every day to the fullest. I know that sounds sort of cliche, but it's the truth. Life is a gift and every day should be treasured. Why wait for a special occasion to celebrate?
I enjoy traveling. My favorite recent first-time trip has been NYC. I've also been to Bar Harbor, Maine and Boston and look forward to going again. I go to Destin at least once a year and though I'm on vacation, I get up to greet the sun with a walk on the beach. You'll usually find me at the pool, on the beach or on the porch of a restaurant with a cold drink enjoying the ocean views and the salty ocean air. I would love to travel outside of the country as well. My top places to visit one day are Italy, Quebec City, and London and Nova Scotia. One day, I want to travel up to the northeast during the fall, rent a convertible and drive through the mountains looking at the changing colors of the leaves and stay at a bed and breakfast. I'd also like to go out to Colorado or Wyoming and take a "working vacation" on a ranch. I think it would be an incredible experience to go horseback riding down trails and spend so much time outdoors. There are so many places to see and things to do!!
I'm a kid at heart. To me, a great date is a day at the amusement park (complete with lots of roller coasters!), playing pool, bowling, or another activity where you can have fun and talk and get to know someone at the same time. I'm not so much a "dinner and a movie" kind of girl. I love trying new restaurants and great conversation, but how much can you learn about someone sitting in silence watching a movie?
I enjoy movies-including old black and white movies (Cary Grant, Bette Davis and Katharine Hepburn are favorites), concerts, theater (especially musicals), gardening, photography, ballroom dancing (swing, fox trot and tango are favorites) and going to Barons and Braves games. I'm also a football fan. I am not originally from Alabama, so Iike Switzerland, I'm neutral. I like to take road trips and stop along the way in small towns and explore. I like going to flea markets and antique shops. You never know what you might find!
I enjoy going out, but I'm also perfectly happy cooking a meal at home and curling up on the couch with a great movie.
My taste in music is pretty diverse. On a road trip home to Georgia to visit family, I'll play anything from Foo Fighters and Aerosmith to a Broadway musical to George Strait and finish up with some Harry Connick, Jr. (my absolute favorite - who I've had the pleasure of chatting with in person on several occasions - nice guy!).
My favorite time of year is fall - the weather is perfect and it's football season. I love to get together with friends at sports bar/restaurant and watch the games. I've never been tailgating, but I hear that tailgating parties in the south are legendary!
