Date a girl from California, United States. Hi! I'm a Southern California native and I recently moved to the Bay Area for graduate school.
I'm a positive and cheerful person most of the time. I generally have a smile on my face. I like to help people. I love when people ask me for directions, but probably shouldn't be giving any because I have a terrible sense of direction. I've been told that I use the phrase "It happens" a lot. But you know what, it happens. I try to just keep moving forward and keep a good attitude about whatever comes my way.
I love having dinner with friends, wine, a good book, writing letters, strategy games, hula hooping, cooking, and just being in the sunshine. I'm more of a morning person than a night person. Being out all night clubbing isn't really my thing. I'm really close with my family and I miss living close to them a lot.
I recently participated in the Guinness Book of World Records for "Largest Gathering of People Wearing Cowboy Hats" so that's a pretty neat claim to fame. And I only have to share it with the 30,000 other people at that baseball game.
I'm really driven in my professional life. School and work are really important to me. And finding somebody who is equally passionate about their own thing is important as well. I'm looking for someone who likes some of the things I do, but has their own stuff going on too.

I have been in college for a long time, and I can't wait to be done and spend more time around people older than me. Also this is not a huge deal, but I hope you like food. I love cooking and I need someone to eat the stuff I cook.
It's hard to go by these profiles, because I wouldn't generally pick a man based on his hair color, favorite baseball team, or what pets he has. It's good to have differences so each partner can experience something new through a relationship. So what I care about most is that you are an honest caring person, and that you treat others with respect and have a kind heart. Everything else will work itself out.
And the best way to find out someone's nature is by making a new friend, spending time together, getting to know each other and seeing how you feel. So I am looking forward to that.
PS: Forgot to mention this, but I think I should let people know. If you have good grammar/spelling it's a major plus. This is not a deal breaker or anything, but I always think it's nice to read an e-mail where I don't have to spend hours deciphering what the person meant to say... so this is definitely something I notice and care about. I am a lot more motivated to write a long meaningful response to someone whose e-mail is pleasant to read. So if we have that in common, that's really great! =)
