I stay pretty active with many things. I've coached soccer a few seasons, might coach volleyball this year. I also take a dance class and fit my workouts in along with whatever activities pop up that I'm interested in. Yes I have a career and raise my kids, which is why I'm involved in way too much. At times I feel like I need to take some of that off my plate, but I enjoy it. I guess that also explains why I'm here, don't have much time to go out and meet new people.
I love funny guys that can make me laugh maybe even until I cry. Really it's not hard to make me laugh. If you're comfortable in your own skin and aren't afraid to expose your flaws, I'm sure we'll get along just fine. But I will say that if you can grill, are a Ravens fan (or just a football fan), or play the guitar, I'm already melting. I'm in the process of teaching myself how to play the guitar. I figure if I can teach myself to snowboard I can teach myself to play the guitar. I certainly wouldn't mind a little help though. ;) Oh and I'm secretly watching my dad BBQ so I can try to replicate his delicious chicken. I could use a lot of help in that area too

I love to laugh and often find myself laughing at the dumb things I've done. I don't take other people's negative attitudes too seriously and keep myself surrounded by positive good natured people. I enjoy varied outdoor discoveries, while I am focused on my work, I maintain many interests that I consider are very rewarding. A few things that currently have my interest and would love to learn in the near future are scuba diving, shooting a gun, and experience hot air ballooning but not necessarily in that order. My passions include music, floral gardens, architecture, enjoy cooking, talk radio, dry humor, performance art, live comedy and a Toby Keith concert. My kids are teens now and don't require all my attention so I'm able to commit emotionally and whole heartedly to him. I not into the club scene but I don't mind a bar and grill every now and then. I am a retired teacher after 30 years in the public schools, mostly grades 2-8.I returned to school during my last 5 years and completed my training to be a speech therapist during my empty nest phase. I enjoy my new career. Though I work full time, I am a homemaker at heart, and love to cook and play house. A home should be comfortable with a lovely outdoors. I enjoy sharing the simple things in life: a sunset, a great meal, a walk, a new adventure.
There is a lot more to me than these few words, but I am not an extroverted person. Areas I have thought deeply about are God, family, friends, the relationship between man and nature. I have 40 fruit trees. I recently acquired 17 chickens to get free range eggs. I help my son (who is disabled after a car accident 2003) and my 86 year old mom with their needs. God has been good to me.
