I am always pushing myself to be better. I don't like stressing about trivial things, but if I think something is important, I will focus all of my energy to reach that goal. This causes me to be very goal oriented; I go crazy if I don't feel like I am progressing in some way. This can cause me to be impatient with myself if I don't feel I am succeeding in some way, but as time goes by, I've come to realize that enjoying the journey is just as important as reaching the destination.
I have had the opportunity in my life to see many different life experiences, and as a result, I can have a conversation with just about anyone. My family lived in Southern California until I was ten when my family decided to move to Western Samoa in the South Pacific. We lived there for four years. Living in a third world country was definitely an eye opener, and I have learned many lessons from spending time there. As a bonus, my family was able to adopt a little boy out there (in my profile picture with me). After Samoa, my family moved to Idaho of all places. I lived there for my high school years, but decided to move after I graduated. I'm currently living in the Denver area with my older brother doing internet marketing and web development.
I love my family. I'm the fourth child of six, and I grew up in a tightly knit family. As result, they have always been there for me, and I'd like to think that I have been there for them. With the adoption of my little Samoan brother who is ten years younger than me, I have learned to love and appreciate children. During high school, I taught swimming lessons to little kids, and learned how fun and pure they are. I learned that kids generally don't care what other people think because they haven't had as much exposure to society dictating how they should dress, look, act, etc. That is a trait that most adults should strive to have. They also can always bring a good laugh with their bluntness. :)
