Me: I’m a giver, not a taker. New job, first day, complete stranger. During lunch in the break room, I encountered a convulsing woman. By about Heimlich number 4, I drew quite a crowd. Upon Heimlich number 5, I was informed she was asthmatic.

Me: I'm typically attracted to someone with a strong sense of self, a healthy family relationship, a dry wit, a positive outlook on life, no fear of heights, an active lifestyle, and a motivation to improve their life every day.

Me: I love the thought of marriage and having kids (my own or someone else's…hopefully, someone I know!), but haven't found the right person yet. At this point in my life, I'm not forcing the issue. I hope it happens, but I'm not going to base my personal happiness on it.

Me: I have a happy and healthy family relationship. Love them all dearly. But, I don't feel it's necessary to call them every day or go home every holiday break. I haven't asked, but am sure my mother feels the same.
