Date men and women from San Diego, United States. What am I looking for? Someone to share unforgettable memories with. Every culture has an epic tale of romance. For the Greeks had the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, in the Aztec mythology it was Popocateptl and Iztaccihuatl, in Egypt it was Osiris and Isis. I guess I am looking for someone to have a meaningful bond with, though I am not sure if a "soulmate" truly exists or if it was a notion conjured up by Hallmark for the purpose of selling Valentine's day cards. I love to play soccer, hockey, and enjoy watching the Chicago Bulls and the San Diego Chargers. Love to see a good charger game as I tend to favor the home town. When it comes to soccer I am a big Man U fan. **I used to play professional soccer in Argentina for Velez-Sarsfield**. I was 16 at the time when I played soccer in Argentina and it was a great experience up until sustaining a knee injury that ended my soccer hopes. Well, it was fun even though I was a reserve player. I love the outdoors and I am always up for fun on the beach and have the ocean waves blow through my face and feel the warm rays of the sun. Camping is also enjoyable and it takes me back. I enjoy going to Cafe Sevilla's for a night of dancing to Latin music. I don't like clubbing, but this club has culture and a good spice for life. I'm more of a Pubber than a Clubber so a dive bar hits the spot.
I also love going to a good mom and pop coffee shop such as Twiggs in University Heights, Lestat's in Normal Heights, Filter house and babycakes in Hillcrest, oh and the Kensington Movie Theater. I find coffee shops to be a great escape to read a good book and go back to writing. I had a poem that was published in the literature section of the Economist magazine that was about the genocides in Sudan. I love to make fun of myself and I do it quite well. I live in Hillcrest and between the gay folks and the loonies in the area, Hillcrest is like a bowl of granola if it ain't fruits and nuts its gotta be flakes! I love to travel and I just came back from a trip in Riviere du loup Quebec, Canada. I have family in Guadalajara, Mexico and in St. Petersburg, Russia so love going there too. My favorite trip was camping out in Peruvian Amazon trail from Yarinacocha to Santa Rosa near the Andes with my friends. Call me a bookworm, but I do like used bookstores and the UCSD Geisel library. Something about the musty smell of an old book and the number of hands it went through gives a book its history. I like alternative rock, classic rock, metal, jazz, blues, hip hop and some country as well. However, I also love 50's rock and enjoy Elvis Presley, Ritchie Valens, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Dion and Buddy Holly.
FYI, my parents were married for 30 years so someone who is serious about having a relationship would be most helpful.

I am self-employed which has been a blessing in giving me the free time I need to travel and volunteer. I do my fair share of volunteering on the side, and I'm always up for hearing about new ways to help.. Aside from my day job I volunteer some evenings at two Jazz radio stations here in San Diego. My favorite films are French, specifically Les Choriste and The Triplets of Belleville. I try to play golf and tennis and stay active with runs through Balboa Park and Seaport Village. I am very comfortable in my own skin and am quite confident, though I am not arrogant.

I'm very laid back and believe that positivity is contageous. I love the "art" world whether it is music, paintings, poetry or any other kind of creativity.
