I come from a hard-working firefighter family with one close older brother and few sets of supportive parents. Had a pretty normal upbringing, even though I understand the challenges of divorce.
I often wear many hats while working at a non-profit arts organization. Some days I am a designer, others I am a community liaison or even a stage manager for the many concerts that we have in our space. This position keeps me busy most weekdays and the occasional weeknight, but it is also flexible enough for me to hustle out to catch my boys in blue at Dodger Stadium or grab a drink and bite to eat at a local restaurant with some friends. I can be the casual kind of girl that goes to a movie or a ballgame one moment or I can shine up nicely for more formal events and can mingle with the best. My friends would describe me as sweet, genuine, and creative. So sweet, that in fact, I started my own baking business to satisfy the cravings of friends and family. I enjoy baking and cooking and would love to have someone who doesn’t mind spending some time in the kitchen or searching for the best “food-ventures” around town. Not to worry if you don’t cook. I am an excellent teacher, as well!
After all that delicious food, I am sure you are wondering how I keep my “girlish figure”. I tend to be a weekend warrior and will accept a challenge of almost any athletic adventure if you are up for it. I enjoy playing fun group sports like softball or football and would love to hike, bike, surf, or ski with a buddy. If you dance, it’s always more fun with a buddy too! I prefer a good balance of outdoor and indoor activities.
Enough about me… you probably want to know what I look for in a guy (I guess that still is about me, but I promise the conversation will balance out once we talk in person.)
I am looking for someone fun with a witty sense of humor. Maturity is a great asset, but you must never take yourself TOO seriously. I would love to meet someone who appreciates and respects the arts, humanity, the female species and not afraid to “geek out” every now and then. If you haven't guessed by now, I like athletic guys, but I also like guys with a creative side. If you're both athletic and creative, it's definitely a plus. I am often referred to as a Jill of All Trades and it would be great to meet a modern Renaissance Man that knows a few things about a few things. I can definitely appreciate an all-around man’s man, but be warned, I am no princess. (not that I wouldn’t let you treat me like one from time to time.)
