I love my family and would do anything for them, as they would me. Mom and Dad are still happily married; brother, sister, and I talk on the regular and are best of friends. I love movies and could watch the same movie a hundred times and be just as enthralled as I was the first. I'm great at the "movie quote" game!! I am the opposite of cynical, I love Disney movies, simple laughs, and happy endings. I can be charming, but I hate when people think that's a negative thing- not all use that quality for bad purposes. I'm a good friend and someone you'd want as yours. As far someone to date, I'm confident I'm a good one, but it has to be with the right girl.
Right girl: I've learned that while I attract all different types, I often attract "bad girls", girls with insecurities, or ones with broken pasts. I think it's because they see the "good guy" in me, or the guy that's super positive and makes them feel good about themselves. I can totally appreciate that and will be there for anyone, but I've learned that romantically, I work better with someone who is more like the "girl me". Positive, kind, sweet, easy-going, etc. Not an intense personality. Not overly cynical, overly combative, overly sensitive. Someone who is not jaded. Someone who does NOT think they're better than anyone else and someone who would never speak condescendingly to others (huge pet peeves). Someone who is real, who is kind, who doesn't hold grudges... a sweet, pleasant girl who I can laugh with and have fun with. - Growing up I wanted to be a race car driver, probably from watching Days of Thunder one too many times. I have a Cole Trickle alter ego who comes to life every time I step into my car. Looking for a Claire Lewicki to subdue the infantile egomaniac.
- My blood type is O negative. So yes I can save your life if the need ever arises.
- I'm a free market conservative but a social liberal. Hate far left/right politicos and frenzied cable news channels like Fox and MSNBC. I get all my news from the New York Times and tweets from Charlie Sheen.
- As you can tell I really like bullets and lists. I'm also a firm believer in white boards.

Besides my career I'm:
- helping my buddy launch his startup in Chicago (love mentoring smart entrepreneurs)
- advising my Dad on his Pulmonology clinic
- learning Spanish from a Rosetta Stone ripoff and from watching dramatic telenovelas on Univision - think Grey's Anatomy x 10
- taking bartending classes over the weekends (just for schitzengigglez)
- traveling muchos; in 2011 I was in Argentina in May, Istanbul Turkey for a buddy's wedding in Sept, and Panama with friends over T-giving. For 2012 I was in Colombia in March, just got back from another whirlwind trip through Europe (Munich, Vienna, Budapest, Venice, Genoa, Ventimiglia, Monaco, Nice and Cannes), and planning Brazil for New Years.
Now the tricky part..
I don't think what I'm looking for necessarily fits into a certain type; someone who is as comfortable staying in and watching a movie on Netflix as they are raging at a Chemical Brothers concert (I saw them at the Bowl a few months ago and it was saweeet!), who can rock both soccer cleats and 5 inch heels, can laugh at my politically incorrect jokes one minute, switch gears the next and intelligently debate the dawn of democracy in the Middle East, someone who isn't afraid to hop on a plane with me to go anywhere from Boston to Bucharest (after Prague and Budapest I can't wait to explore more of Eastern Europe), passionate and ambitious about her own career while also recognizing that we're here to collectively make the world a better place (cheesy line credit - Al Gore), and most importantly someone who is mature enough for a relationship and is not into playing mind games - in other words get a paid subscription! I promise it has a better ROI than a pair of Jimmy Choos :)
Bonus points if you:
- Have more stamps in your passport than me
- Can drive a stick shift.. like yours truly
- Digg rollercoasters and prefer a scream fest at six flags over a boring dinner date.. unless you're prone to motion sickness, in which case you probably won't enjoy my driving either :(
