Date single man from Arkansas, United States. I was in the Marine Corps for five years. Now that I'm back, I've bought a new house with the money I saved, and I got my degree on the GI Bill. I'm a very goal-oriented man, and I always finish what I set out to do.
When I bought my house, it wasn't even livable. But now, after some plumbing work, new furniture, a couple new doors, a paint job, and other little things, almost all of which I did myself, it's ready to be shown off!
I am very active. I love hiking and camping, and last year, I climbed my first four 14ers. It's exhilarating to climb mountains, and I do it as often as I can.
I'm into sports, too. I played on a hockey team in college, so if you like hockey, that's a huge plus with me. And while I'm talking about sports, I love the Broncos and I always make sure to go to a game or two every year. I'm very excited to see where the team is going.
I want someone who is very intelligent, sophisticated, principled, educated, and mature. I need someone who isn't afraid to have a deep, philosophical discussion, even if we disagree on some very deep subjects. I want someone who cares deeply about her family, and wants to have a family. I care a lot more about mental qualities than I do about physical qualities. Beauty is nice, but you don't have to be an amazon to date me. You do have to be smart.
I want someone who is active. She has to like sports, and she has to be willing to come up one or two 14ers with me. I want someone who enjoys the outdoors, and also enjoys going to the art museum, the nature and science museum, concerts, and finding new things to do in Denver. She also needs to enjoy taking some time to just sit back and relax together. Basically, I want a smart, happy, fun, down-to-earth girl.

I read these words recently, and realized just how much they describe
me. I find that like myself, it's better to care about people and not
have a lot to say all the time, rather than to feel the need to constantly
talk. There's nothing wrong with long silences when you're with someone,
as long as you're both comfortable with it...and you should be. On
another note, it's better to show someone you care about them through your
actions, rather than telling them constantly how you feel. True, it's
nice to hear it every once in a while, but words have a tendency to
cheapen over time, especially without any kind of actions to back
them...yet your actions and gestures will always ring true.
Now, on to the 'Good Stuff'....a bit about me -- not too much, mind
you...don't want to give away everything...heheh.
Occupation: I separated from the Navy a couple of years ago -- After 10 years, I felt it was time to switch gears and move in a different direction in Life. So, I'm going back to School....working on a degree in Electronics Engineering. I figured I did it for 10 years in the Navy, might as well make it official (considering nobody will look at you without that shiny piece of paper...).
As for personal stuff -- I'm a bit of a gym rat, although I haven't been able to go regularly for the past couple years for various reasons...I finally got this shoulder issue under control, so I've been able to get back in and start working out again. I also recently started studying the Martial Arts again...it's amazing how much one can miss it. I'm also a bit of a 'Gearhead'...I LOVE fast cars, and my favorites are American Muscle, esp. the Classic stuff. I like working on my own cars as well, I find a sense of satisfaction in completing a major repair or modification to make it go faster. I like Fantasy/Sci-Fi Novels and series....Robert Jordan's 'Wheel of Time' series is my absolute favorite, but I've stumbled across other great series' by CJ Cherryh, Holly Lislie, Ian Irvine, and others. I'm in the middle of George R.R. Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series, which is fantastic so far! (Dude needs to hurry up with Book 5...)
Other stuff...I'm a computer nerd....love to tinker with my computer, and I'm fairly good at fixing 'em as well. I don't really look the part of 'computer nerd', but not many do these days, you know? I have a pretty wide taste in music, from Blues to Techno, Rock to R&B (some), Classical (on the rare occasion that I stumble across it) to Metal. The only genres I have a hard time listening to are Hardcore Rap, and Country -- although, given the choice between the two, I'd pick Country over Rap to listen to...LOL! That doesn't mean I can listen to it for long, but if someone puts it on, I can tolerate it for about an hour or so before the station needs changing...heheh.
I'm a Photographer -- Not pro by any means, but I like to think I'm fairly skilled...I'm more of a 'Hobbyist' anyway, but have kicked around the notion of going pro one day. I can also stumble through a few riffs on the Bass. I'm working on practicing again regularly, but I have a soft spot for a good solid Bass Line in a song. If it's Bass-heavy, I love it!

Here it goes...I'm a happy person, I like to be surrounded by happy people and I don't play games. I love the outdoors. I work outside, play outside, live outside. I really, really, really love cycling. Watching it on T.V., watching it live, reading about it, and of course doing it, I want it all. I also like rock climbing/bouldering, even though I haven't gone for a while, cycling has kind of taken up all of my spare time. I don't think I'm an "adrenaline junkie" but I like going fast on a motorcycle, skydiving, rock climbing and going really fast downhill on a bicycle. Don't get me wrong, I also like a chill night or catching a movie and eating some gelato. I'm always up for a challenge and want to try new things. I would like to meet someone that loves the outdoors, and knows what she wants and isn't afraid to get it.
My friends and family always take precedence over anything I want to do. They are always there for me. They have gotten me through some tough times and I am very lucky to have them in my life. I'm a very loyal person to the ones I love.
I was born and raised in Colorado. I've lived in Pueblo, Austin, Salt Lake City, and Denver. I've decided that I like the diversity of the bigger cities...the culture, activities, people and the FOOD!
I love food! I would love learn how to cook every type there is. I mostly cook and eat healthy but I enjoy the occasional run for junk food. My favorite T.V. channel is the Food Network, except when any major cycling event is on (bike nerdiness...sorry). Hopefully there's someone out there that can teach me a couple things about cooking, I know enough to be dangerous.
I have two wonderful, curious, energetic black labs. I'm not one of those guys that takes them everywhere but they are always eager to go. Sometimes they're a handful but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I work out of town a lot and am very independent. I'm looking for someone who is also independent and is okay with me working so much.

I’m a pretty laid back guy. I’m a hard worker, but when I do have free time I like hanging out with friends. I'm in the television production business, mostly making commercials. I've broken into doing voice-over work as well. The entertainment business is pretty crazy, so I do get to see a lot of interesting things. I LOVE my family and friends! My family's small so I don't take them for granted at all, and good friends...well, they speak for themselves. I try to surround myself with positive and upstanding people. I'm very palyfull and relaxed. Laughter is life's natural medicine. I laugh at everything, especially myself. To me it's a waste of time and energy to be depressed or angry or vengeful or any of that. So I don't hold grudges or fret over the little stuff.
I think my biggest fault is my procrastination. I'm stubborn but I'm working on that, and my patience has grown significantly over the last few years. I love animals but am allergic to cats and dogs. I'm spontaneous, ambitious, and Christianity is important to me. The three most important things to me in any relationship are faith, trust/honesty, and open communication. I hate politics and drama. I get along with everyone. My parents are really old-fashioned, so growing up I got all those things like good manners, chivalry, etc. beat into me. I LOVE eating, so an ideal match would love to cook, not a prereq. though (I constantly hear people say they would kill for my metabolism). I'm not very shy, but a little quiet sometimes when I'm around people I don't know.
My match would preferably not have devil horns and a tail. Besides what I've mentioned already, she is someone who is driven and goal oriented, but laid back and patient. She would have a great sense of humor and strong morals and values. She would be secure enough to be able to run to the grocery store with sweats and a t-shirt on and no makeup. She'd be down-to-earth and humble but confident in everything she does and wants. Loyalty is huge of course, and I'm a bit of a clean-freak, not OCD though!
I like cold weather and SNOW! I don't care a lot for hot weather, but almost everywhere I've lived was hot. I'm from So. Cal. and I like surfing and want to get SCUBA cert'd one of these days, so I wouldn't mind living by a beach somewhere.
I plan on being retired twice by 50 (double-dippin...yeah baby!). I'll have my vette collection started by then. The best feeling in the world (top 3 anyway) is adrenalin rushes, I LOVE speed/power. Hence I love driving/riding/flying. Like camping, rock-climbing, or just kickin back at home watching movies? Me too so let's talk!

Meet people from United States. I live in Thornton and I'm working on my Master's of Earth Science at the University of Northern Colorado. Its a big change from my 10 years of living in Winter Park and living the so-called "Dream", snowboarding. I miss it sometimes and it was fun, but things change. I worked at Powder Tools Snowboard Shop for 8 years and the Forest Service most summers, if I wasn't traveling to New Zealand chasing the snow. Now I'm slaving away on a Master's Degree and finding it most interesting being back in school after 11 years. On any given day you could find me doing a variety of things that range from a good hard workout leaving you exhausted, but energized or a relaxed evening in after a hard day with a glass of wine and a movie.
Traveling is something I enjoy and try to do at least once a year. Most recently I've had the good fortune to visit Hong Kong, Maldives, London and a few other places.

Meet someone special from United States. One thing I would have to say about myself is I am a generally shy person. I have a bad habit of not really talking too much until I start to get to know the person I am talking to. I have an awesome sense of humor, like to laugh and make people laugh, although some of it can be pretty dry, and may offend people. I'm very easy going, calm ,mellow person, I try to find the humor in everything, no matter how bad it may or may not be. As for my family life, my parents split up, so unfortunately I am not really all that close to my family. Have just recently started talking to my dad in the past few years. Have been pretty much solo my whole life. I know the meaning of responsibility, I have worked at the same job for over 10 years, and never been fired once. As for someone I would like to meet. Honesty is real important, other than that, not too into party animals, someone with a good head on their shoulders, common sense, street smarts. Someone who has the ability to care about others. Who knows the meaning of respect. I'm not really the flirty type. Never really found the point in that. I also don't see how anyone can really explain themselves in just words, to me this isn't even the tip of the iceberg. Not only that but words can so easily be misunderstood, which would lead someone to assume certain things that may not even be true.
