I am divorced after 27 years of marriage; widowed after 16 years and alone for just over a year. I have three sons and six grandchidren who live out of state. I miss the companionship of a special person to share the joys, the ups and downs of life and for just someone to come home to who is passionate, compassionate and caring, as do all of us on this site. I'd like someone who will listen about my day, rub my neck and shoulders when they ache, has a shoulder to cry on or give a big hug and kiss, just because he loves me. I love to travel anywhere, anyway, anytime. I have been to Europe, Canada, Mexico and most of the 50 states. I hope to travel to Alaska some day and would enjoy going to Europe again and to Israel or just about anywhere in this world. I also make several trips to visit with my son's families each year. Cruises would also be of interest. I love the mountains and especially the sea/seashore. I could walk, and have done so, for hours there. Yes guys I like to fish too. I can even play a pretty mean game of pool. I also love being on the water. At the same time I can be very content home cuddling, talking, reading or just enjoying the many blessings I have. Sitting outside on a starry night or on the porch on the swing enjoying a cool drink on a hot day are two of my favorite pastimes. I also enjoy gardening and maintaining my home and property. I tend to be serious at times, but can also enjoy the lighter side of life.
I live in rural Arkansas in the beautiful Ouachita mountains on two acres. Besides the rabbits and border collies I also have chickens and have had a horse in the past.. Hot Springs National Park is just eight miles from my home.
I believe that my closest friends would describe me as loyal, loving, caring, honest, giving and possessing a strong will. I can be very independent or dependent depending on the circumstances and need. I'd like to have a balance between these two styles. I am content being alone, but would also very much desire having that special person to share life with me. I would let that person pursue his interests if they aren't mine and would expect the same from him I also would like to find some interest(s) to share as well. I enjoy touching and being touched . I do not like people who are not honest and willing to commit to one person.
I am in good health, eat healthy and walk for exercise while exercising the high energy border collies, and keep my weight normal. I enjoy cooking especially if I am cooking for someone else. I think young and act young. I have lots of dreams and ambition for the rest of my life.
