Travel is very important to me and I spend 2 months traveling each year. I love tropical climates and try to escape winters in California with travel to Southeast Asia, Mexico, South America or other "summer" places. Happiness is a warm ocean, good snorkeling, fresh seafood, and good books. Thailand has been a favorite for many years and I greatly look forward to spending time with my Thai "family" in Sukhothai, Thailand -- annually if possible. Last winter I was in Thailand and Sri Lanka. The year before I was in Thailand, Vietnam, and Mexico. Spain, Portugal and Turkey are high on my list for future trips.
I am a private person insofar as I enjoy and cherish time alone. I am also very social and love spending time cooking meals and relaxing with friends. I own a summer home with a pool about 1 hour from Oakland/Berkeley (Discovery Bay) and cherish week-ends of good conversation, swimming, hot tubs, great food, garage sales, reading and relaxing at the house.
