One more thing, as far as the pics go, please be honest and post recent photos. I do appreciate the fact that some of you are very active and visit many wonderful places, but it doesn't help to look at a picture when you can't see your face in it or when it's taken from very far away, or when the photos of are birds, dogs, beaches, cars, motorcycles, mountain tops, etc... Please include at least 3 recent photos of YOURSELF! When we meet we can talk about all the wonderful places you have been too and all of the belongings you have acquired, you can show me pictures if you like :0 ! Also, being fit is very important to me and I find that quality in a man very attractive. A big part of my life is taking care of myself in regards to what I eat and how I exercise.
I'm not perfect by a very loooong shot and I'm not looking for perfect, what fun is that?? but I do enjoy taking care of myself, so I'm hoping you feel the same. I'm also not to fond of slobs, I'm by no means a clean freak, but someone who is a total slob would probably bump heads with me.

Date people from United States. My career is in water (civil engineering) and I love to be on the water: kayaking, sailing, taking a ferry on the Bay, or biking across the Golden Gate Bridge. I am a very independent person, a tomboy with a feminine side. I am honest and optimistic. I am an extrovert who enjoys meeting new people.
I enjoy living well and I'll take any excuse to get dressed up in a skirt and heels. But do not mistake me for a sophisticate. I enjoy pinball, minigolf and picnics. I do not like opera, ballet or modern dance. You are more likely to find me at a thrift store than a department store. I love trying new things, even if I am bad at them. The exception is golf- I'm sorry but even though my whole family plays golf I just find it too preppy and manicured for my tastes (also uses up too much water). I used to listen to a lot of punk rock as a youth, but since then I have mellowed out and am now also into country, pop, swing, and alternative music, like U2, Lucinda Williams, Zac Brown Band, Billy Bragg, Superchunk, the Breeders, Adele, the Killers and I can't get "I got the Moves Like Jagger" out of my head. I will admit, the symphony is mesmerizing in its beauty and emotional intensity. But I just saw the Muffs at the Uptown and they rocked.
I love hiking and skiing, art and music. Had a great time at Art Mumur in Oakland and I love to see live music at small clubs. Baking is something I enjoy. I recently made a strawberry rhubarb pie with rhubarb from my garden. My kids love my lemon ricotta pancakes.
I appreciate beauty in its many forms: in children, nature, and things made by talented humans.
I play on a USTA tennis team and am honing my doubles strategy. I am grateful for the pleasure of raising my two kids who are a wonder and a joy to me (they live part time with me). I like to read fiction, non-fiction, self-help, (I am in a book club) and the Sunday NY Times. I am enjoying the challenges of my job as a project manager for a large engineering firm, where I plan and design water supply facilities.
I am looking forward to meeting the right man who would be my monogamous companion and playmate in a long term relationship . Foreign jaunts have recently included Italy, Mexico, Honduras, Argentina and the Philippines. On my wish list are Norway, Spain, Greece, Chile. When stressed, I play the piano to keep my brain and fingers nimble, and catch up on reading some of the hundreds of books I recently inherited from my Dad. If I had more wall space, I'd be out looking at art galleries more.
Next steps? I usually unwind from my busy job with an evening walk, a glass of wine from the Central Coast on my deck or a good dinner before drifting off with a good novel by the fire. Want to join me?
