Date men and women from United States / Arkansas / Oakland, 25 year old

Date single boy from Arkansas, United States. Whenever I'm asked to list personal and desired characteristics, it feels like I'm forcing the process. I'll keep this brief.
My two life passions are music and sports. There is a ton of stuff and activities in which I participate, but many times nothing beats banter and observational conversation with good friends. As long as I'm with great company, I'm down for whatever. Well, most things. I'm also obsessed with the mass media.
Basically, I'm not looking for anyone or anything in particular. I only ask that you're cool, and not an idiot or jerk. One more thing. If you put anything besides "No Preference" for your date's ethnicity, please don't contact me.

Date someone special from Arkansas, United States. So, after several train wrecks writing this, I realized that I had one wish: That I could write a profile like a Harold Pinter play where just saying hello told you everything you needed to know! Alas this is mere fantasy, so I commit to something more prolific. However, in pursuit of Piinteresque perfection I will try to keep this short. In the spirit of full disclosure, I also have to admit that I hate writing about myself, so keeping it short is in my own best interest.
I'm a 25 year old newly minted master's degree. I've lived in the Bay Area, London and St. Louis, and am interested in returning to London someday. I love to cook, watch baseball and do cultural things (museums, gardens, shows, etc.) As a person, I'm kind, thoughtful, loyal and intelligent. I've been told that of all qualities, kindness is the most prominent. I like to make people laugh, though I don't always try. I tend to be friendly with a lot of people but close with a tight-knit core of friends. As my grandmother was a southern belle, I like to think that I was raised to be a gentleman towards both men and women which includes, among other things, holding doors for people, lifting heavy things, and lending coats etc. I love adventures, coffee and long weekend mornings. I strangely do not like sleeping as I see it as a waste of time when I could be awake. Paradoxically, I love just reading in bed as well as just lounging. The last important thing to know is that I act and sing for fun/money (who doesn't like getting paid for what they love?). Music is very important to me and is a huge part of how I relate to the world. Personality wise, I'm an extroverted introvert, I love talking to people but I'm very introspective. I think, like most people, I'm a ball of other paradoxes as well.
In someone else, I seek someone who is intelligent, kind, witty and humorous. I'd love someone with whom I can explore the city, see plays, go to the symphony, and talk. I get along with people who can laugh and converse well.
Well that was only slightly painful but sadly not terribly parsimonious. If you want to know any more just ask.

Meet people from Arkansas, United States. II'm getting my masters in education while I work for Citizen Schools. I'm an after school teacher and help kids with homework, sports, things in the community and teach lessons. It's kind of weird that I'm growing up so quickly. Working with kids shows me more who I want and need to be. They keep me grounded and young. It's also nice that I'm able to be myself while I try to shape their lives.
For me, I've definitely learned a lot about myself through working with kids. I know more of what/need out of relationships(both romantic and non-romantic). I guess I've learned so much from my students because they push me so much. I always want them to step out of their boundaries and I've learned to do that myself. I have to roll with the punches a lot at work , but I always like the challenge and to be busy. I've learned to take things in stride and to kill people with kindness. People just want to be loved and feel values and I feel there are a lot of reasons why my students do poorly in school (i.e. poor family environment, money, etc) and I like that I'm able to try my best to help in any way I can. I love to write poetry because it allows me to express myself through writing. I love making me laugh and feel that this is the most beautiful thing a girl can do.
I'm very terrified of bees, horses and fire. I've been stung under the tongue by a bee and one other time my hand swelled twice the size. I fell off a horse when I was young and fire I'm so clumsy that I feel I would light myself on fire. I look for someone who can make me laugh, is open, honest, creative and passionate about who they do. I know I talked a lot, but I guess that can sum up some more of who I am. Random and talkative. I can leave you with a cheesy joke of mine.
'Scientists recently said Pluto isn't a planet, but I knew all along it wasn't because I always see him hanging with Mickey and Donald.''
here's one of my poems so you can get a sense of who I am and my humor:
And the Winner for best thing Outdoors goes to: Nature
I only truly appreciate nature when it’s sunny.
Forget the D, drink the ocean’s slimy salty, polluted oiled breeze.
I learned the most from my camping trip from hell. I fell
In the Pacific ocean, Bee sting under the tongue. Acorn
Scraped my right cheek and a Now and Later took my left front molar.
I was held back from learning advanced information because I refused to prick my
Ring finger to determine what blood type I was in Biology. I caved in my third year
Repeating the course and tested the hypothesis that I do in fact have blood and yes it’s red.
Barley making it to Vernal Falls every time because I had too many wine
Coolers and twinkies. Crawling my way up amidst the mist with my flannel red
Boxer shorts, playing the role of a German tourist whose fashion sense of America
Is derived from Sear’s Catalogue advertisements and Party America billboards.
My chicken legs peck their beaks, attempt to lay golden eggs
And chirp when there isn’t enough feed to go around. I sit down
And wish my snake arms weren’t so slithery and contained more structure
And definition. They hiss because they can’t seem to shed their extra arm hairs.
Columbus was right when he proposed
That the world was flat. How
Else would you describe my flat feet?
People who believe in Evolution forget
That my 8th grade Physical Education teacher debunked that
Theory when she discovered I had scoliosis.

Date a guy from Arkansas, United States. ME:
I was born in England, raised in Boston. I lived in NYC then moved to Boston. I just moved here...what better way to meet people than putting everything out there to a bunch of strangers online?
I consider myself confident but not cocky, athletic but not a jock and intelligent but only sometimes a nerd.
I like to get out and meet new people and try new things. I've been skydiving and surfing and ziplining and zorbing (the thing where you get pushed down a hill in a ball) are on my bucket list and yes I do have a bucket list.
I work for a construction management company so I don't exactly meet a lot of women at work. My sister met her future husband on this site so I thought I would give it a shot and see what it is all about. Worst case scenario, I meet some new people and waste a little money. Sounds like a Saturday night.
A typical week for me would be working Monday-Friday, coming home, cooking dinner, and reading or watching a few hours of TV with my roommates. On the weekends it's a mixed bag but I could be out at a bar in Boston or having a few friends over. On Sunday, usually I clean, get ready for the next week, and watch sports.
I am very even tempered, I love dogs, my family, and the ocean. I laugh at myself all the time.
YOU:
I'm looking for a girl who is confident, lots of fun, who can show me the funny, the kind of girl I can leave with my family or friends for a few minutes and not worry about it. She should be able to wear jeans and flip flops and walk around the city during the day and then clean up nice for a night out.
If my me sounds like your you and my you sounds like your me, send me a message or wink or carrier pigeon, whatever.

Date single girl from United States. I love to sing, enjoy photography and laugh as much as possible. I am currently a Coordinator for the Collegiate and Grad Student Volunteer Program at a hospital. I am looking for someone who I share a spark and genuine connection with. Interested in starting out as friends first and seeing where things lead.

Meet people from United States. Those who are closest to me would describe me has very blunt but sweet. I have a great time meeting new people and exploring new things. I love/ respect people who are secure in themselves enough to know who they are but also have an awareness of who they want to be. It is important that the man I'm with has is secure in himself, and has a drive to be successful in any and everything he takes on in life.

Date a soulmate from United States. My family and friends are everything to me. My friends often describe me as being the "glue" that brings everyone together. I love to bring together different groups of friends to hang out, whether it's prom bowling, murder mystery dinners, or singing karaoke.
My job is amazing; I get to help students pursue their goals of receiving a college education, and seeing them succeed makes me smile. Random calls or texts from old friends always brightens my day. I consider myself extremely blessed to have so many good people around me and to go to a job that I love.
I have a bubbly, happy-go-lucky personality, so I enjoy spending time with friends and meeting new people. One of my favorite accomplishments was spending three spring breaks in Tutwiler, Mississippi building houses with Habitat for Humanity.
My perfect guy is someone who can make me laugh and keep me on my toes. I'm also a sucker for a guy who opens my car door...as they should :O). I'm looking for a guy who is confident, outgoing, and can hold his own in a group of people. I'm a big foodie, so I want a guy who would go with me to try all sorts of new foods.

Meet someone special from United States. Looking for my knight in shining armor....Not a loser in aluminum foil! A man that naturally treats a lady with respect because I deserve it.
I am an ambitious woman. I work hard for the things I desire. My family is extremely important to me.
I love to laugh (usually at myself) and almost always have a smile on my face. I am really laid back and easy going. I enjoying bowling, try new recipes, going out painting the town or even staying home for a good movie night.
It would be a nice change to find someone with romantic qualities. It is very rare that you find a man that actually appreciates the romantic things a woman does, and even more rare to find a man that comes up with his own romantic idea/ gestures.
Patience and time is very important to me. Everyone seems to be in a rush these days, there is nothing wrong with just going with the flow of things!
Hope to hear from you soon! Have a great day! ~Smooches!
